Operation Safehouse provides assistance to the most vulnerable in our community - teens
Dedicated, caring professional staff are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week because crisis never happens between 9am and 5pm, Mon - Fri. Some of the stories are truly heartbreaking but the successes are equally amazing.

My moral compass is the legacy of my parents I can remember a day each year when we 2nd generation kids would donate our old clothes. To the family, many of who were poor immigrants. The plan by my mother was to invite them all for a big diner and then a surprise. Boxes of old and new clothes and toys of all kinds would be open and torn though by children of all ages. The look of joy on their faces was unforgettable.
I saw that look on kids from Operation Safe House Inc personal and I know that look when the chaos stops and the healing can begin. When you see in a child's face, all we did mattered.

As the Executive Director/President of the Thousand Palms Chamber of Commerce Safehouse of the Desert is an awesome facility and has help so many kids get back on track. This facility along with the Harrison House along with their staff are amazing. I have helped Volunteer for many events to help support.

I called Safehouse about a year ago to see if I could volunteer in some way. My heart goes out to these youth that get caught up in this horrendous deceitful betrayal called sex Trafficking. Shortly after, I helped by calling on local businesses to donate items and gift certificates for their fundraiser. It was so rewarding knowing I was helping an organization I truly believe in. My hope is that we can each look into our own heart and figure out what organization/charity we want to give our time and energy too. Maybe an hour maybe two, maybe 20. I found mine at SafeHouse. My dream when I retire in about a year is to volunteer more of my time to SafeHouse. Because If I can help just one person, than I know the reason why I am on this earth. Jade

I started off at Operation SafeHouse as a volunteer, and within only a few weeks I knew I wanted to work here long term. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The facility itself was clean and well kept. Clients were first priority and were given full attention. I learned so much from the experience. SafeHouse insures the safety and well being of each client and strides to make their stay as positive and safe as possible. This facility is top notch and every staff and employee works hard to make sure that it stays that way.

I was introduced to SafeHouse through their WoW Luncheon. I am impressed with all of the services they offer for youth in the Coachella Valley and beyond. The art night at SafeHouse of the Desert with Valohna Wynn was very inspiring and I can see how the art program changes lives for the better. I am happy to support SafeHouse so that they can continue to serve our youth.

The safe house is staffed with great people. The staff is always welcoming new clients to work with to see that they get placed in the right home. There are many activities to keep the clients busy and the facility is very clean and organized. It’s such a joy witnessing the great care that is displayed in the Safehouse. I feel at home when I am serving (volunteering) at the Safehouse.

I was told about the great work that SafeHouse was doing in Riverside as well as the Coachella Valley by a friend of mine. I have always been involved with non-profits, and thought that SafeHouse was a good fit. I have since become a board member and have seen up close the good work being done to help young people in their time of need. The employees of SafeHouse are the most dedicated group of people that I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with. They possess the passion needed to help make a positive difference in the life of a young person and their family.

Safehouse has helped me out alot, specially because I was new in the area and didn't have family out here. Safehouse assisted me in everything like housing, food, and finding a job. Now, I'm being able to save and plan a better future thanks to the help I'm getting.

I stayed at SafeHouse TLP for 18 months and they helped me get a job and get through truck driving school and get a job as a truck driver. They helped me learn how to budget my money and then helped me get an apartment of my own that I could afford. They still help me know whenever I need help with anything like budgeting or just someone to talk to I know they are always there and willing to help me. I am so grateful for everything they have done for me and continue to do for me.
