Causes: International, International Relief
Mission: To provide access to surgical treatment to women with obstetric fistula. This mission is achieved by providing financial assistance to medical service providers in the developing world. With the organization's support, these medical service providers offer free treatment to women with this condition.
Programs: In 2014, we continued our surgical treatment pilot program. Our program funded treatment for 368 women in malawi, madagascar and mauritania. We achieved a great deal of cost efficiency with our activities in 2014. Our functional expense breakout for the year is as follows: 95% program, 4% administrative, 1% fundraising. We evaluate the economic effectiveness of our program using the following three metrics: average grant expense per patient: $193 in 2014average program cost per patient: $237 in 2014average total cost per patient: $248 in 2014in fiscal years 2013 and 2014, our program funded treatment for 559 women.
