I heard about ODYD in passing from friends who told me to check it out when we moved to JBLM. I'm so glad I did! Its hard to find anything more rewarding than helping someone find a dress they feel ABSOLUTELY STUNNING in, then adding that its free. Seriously the best thing is seeing the joy and smile in their eyes when they find their dress!
National ODYD helps make this possible at over a dozen locations to even more service members, spouses, and teens. Pretty sure if we PCS to a base next that doesn't have a nearby location, I'll be offering to help open one especially if it helps others' dress dreams come true!
I had the privilege of building and opening the ninth ODYD shop at Fort Drum! I couldn’t have imagined how much joy it would bring to our spouses in the middle of a pandemic year! I love everything about the mission and vision of what ODYD was built on! I am always in awe of the generosity from our American public and the beautiful donations they give to this organization!! I have had the opportunity to volunteer as manager for these last two years and I’ve met so many spouses and teens! My favorite part of this organization is being able to give a free dress and accessory to a military spouse or military teen and being able to see their pictures shared from their special event!! We were able to walk them through the entire process! So grateful for ODYD as they’ve always allowed me to have two free gorgeous gowns and accessories as a military spouse myself!!
As a friend of a military spouse, I have had the privilege of being exposed to the great work that ODYD does for the military community. Any opportunity that I have to donate to ODYD I do, whether it is a dress or accessory. What a great organization to support!

Great organization with a fantastic group of hard working military wives! What began as a simple dress swap has turned into a pop up shop filled with beautiful dresses “deployed”, free of charge, to women and girls to help defray the cost of attending military balls, proms and other formal functions. It’s always a pleasure to work with ODYD.
Started as a monthly volunteer assisting families in selecting and redeploying dresses at the Fort Carson location. This grew into a volunteer position in operations for National level ODYD tracking inventory and supporting location growth. My last 4 ball dresses over the last 3 years are from this amazing organization! And I've had a chance to travel to DC for the ODYD pop up and spend a whirlwind day giving out dresses to all our branches in the DC area. I love the mission of the team and the smiling faces in happy dresses. I've been volunteering for 3 years and don't plan to stop.

I read an article about Operation Deploy Your Dress a few years ago, and was so excited to find an ODYD shop at Fort Benning! I’ve been volunteering there since 2019. It’s a wonderful program for military soldiers and family members. Thank you to the wonderful women who started ODYD!

I volunteered with this organization at Fort Irwin, CA during the first year of it operating there. I can’t express the joy it brought to military spouses and service members when no options were available to purchase gowns and accessories locally. This is truly an amazing organization!
I feel so blessed that ODYD tasked me with co-managing the shop in Ft Stewart, GA. I feel great pride in being part of a charity that directly impacts a community I belong to. My co-manager and I make a great team and are happy to serve the military community. We have elevated our little shop to a beautiful boutique and absolutely love volunteering.
Operation Deploy Your Dress (ODYD) is one of the best nonprofit organizations available to the military community. ODYD provides military service members, military spouses, and eligible military dependents with a fashionable store experience allowing them to select one free formal gown and accessory item with some beautiful dresses being re-deployed each year. This organization thrives with the volunteers who keep it operating each day! The volunteers are so excited and remain determined to offer beautiful, free formal gowns to our military community. This organization provides the opportunity for military spouses and family members the access to beautiful gowns without a financial commitment and regardless of their sponsor's rank. It is truly needed for our military community!

The volunteers of this tremendous organization are enthusiastic, willing to help and utilizing the time they are able to give back to ensuring that the stressors of the military life are muted for a few moments while they are free to shop till they drop with no cost to them!
