"OCC," is about taking care of any servicemembers deployed in the World and even our outstanding veterans in so many ways! Also, what makes OCC the BEST non-profit is its fabulous volunteers! We have become so close we are all like a huge family! What organization can only utilize 98 percent of the monies donated that are given back to the servicemembers and veterans. If you are looking for a an organization to donate to please think of OCC first!
Operation Comfort and Care is an incredible organization which strives to support our military members via care packages and donations to military functions and dinner events. OCC also plays a huge role in team building and morale boosting by offering military members free tickets to concerts and sports events. I can't thank OCC enough! My wife and I are volunteers with Operation Care & Comfort which is led byJulie De Maria. My wife has been a volunteer for 17 years and I have been with the organization for approximately 4 years. Julie has been the leader for approximately 20 years. She is an outstanding individual and puts in a great deal of time and effort to ensure the organization meets its goals. She is a “hands on, lead by example” individual and the key reason the unit is so successful!
I’ve had the privilege of volunteering with operation care and comfort for the past eight years, and it has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. As a former army member, giving back to my fellow service members is deeply personal, and this organization makes it easy to make a real impact.
What sets OCC apart is its genuine commitment to supporting the military community. They go above and beyond to boost morale and show appreciation for those who serve. Volunteering here is more than just service- is a family affair, where everyone shares a common mission of gratitude and support.

My husband and I are proud parents of 2 military veterans. We first learned of
Operation Care and Comfort while watching the news. They were doing a packing of care packages during the holiday season to be sent overseas. We thought that this would be something we would be proud to participate in.
That was when we looked them up and found out when the next packing was. That was about 8 years ago.
We now volunteer with OCC every week.
The other volunteers that show up every week have become family. We all know that our common goal is to support our active Military and our Veterans in the community.

I’m a reservist at Travis AFB and OCC is so great about setting up donations on our reserve weekends. Back packs and back to school supplies, bikes and skateboards at Christmas as well as stockings and stuffers. Such a wonderful organization!

OCC is a great organization that I have been supporting for over 20 years. Growing up in a military family I saw the struggles and sacrifices our family went through firsthand, and it’s wonderful that OCC helps so many of our military on so many levels. Sending care packages to our deployed men and women, adopting military families during the holidays, helping local military families, including vets and their families in many ways, and by partnering with local sports teams, OCC give military families the opportunity to attend sporting events, concerts and so much more. I was introduced to Operation: Care and comfort through a family member of the founder. I have had the honor and privilege of helping sort donations, delivering care packages to Veterans in transitional housing, packaging care boxes that are shipped to our deployed military as well as adopting a military family at Christmas. Amazing organization that helps thousands of veterans. I was very fortunate to benefit from the tickets as a junior sailor. It made a whole difference in my military service to enjoy some distractions.
I have been a supporter of OCC since 2003. This nonprofit has worked tirelessly to support our deployed troops, sending care packages with vital products, toiletries and favorite snacks to remind them of home. For some of these soldiers, it was their only link to home, especially in the early years of the war. Through the years, OCC has expanded its operation to support our local troops and their families with programs such as Tickets For Troops and the Adopt-A-Military Family project during the holidays. Our Veterans are honored and appreciated with support during the sometimes difficult transition back to civilian life. I cannot say enough about this highly effective and vital organization.
Volunteering for OCC feels like being involved in an outreach that spans the globe supporting people that do so much for our country. It is exhilarating to hear from people that received one of our boxes when deployed and the heartfelt gratitude.

I’ve volunteered with them for close 6-7 years now. The people who regularly volunteer have become like family. They show up week after week in the rain, sun, and everything else because the mission is important to them. My husband was deployed and got care packages and it was so awesome. We’ve also received so many opportunities to get tickets to sporting events. As a military family we couldn’t afford to get 4 tickets to ball games and because of OCC we’ve been able to share those experiences with our sons. We are so grateful for OCC for all they do for the military/veteran community. I’m grateful for every one of them.

As a military veteran I’ve seen Operation Care and Comfort get tickets to professional sporting events and other fun things. As time went on I began volunteering when they needed help at a big pack, then decided to do it more frequently. This organization gets donations of supplies, money and food and then packs care packages EVERY week to send to military. When some homeless vets needed some things during COVID they responded with sending some items to a hotel that provided them temporary shelter. Food, socks, activities you name it. They are group of individuals, some veterans some not, that truly want to help support our military and veterans overseas and at home. I’m grateful to them for more than number of reasons. Not just the tickets, not even the care packages, but knowing I have a group of people who care in my life. That is way more valuable than anything. These people would do anything to help someone out. And on top of that they support those who are sacrificing for this country. Can’t say enough good things. And they constantly need more help and donations.
OCC has donated tickets to many events to me and my family which has given us the opportunity to spend quality time together. I sometimes get to meet other Veterans at these events and in some cases see old friends I've served with or worked with before. They are an amazing organization and I am truly thankful for them and all of the hard work they do for us

Operation: Care and Comfort has donated so many tickets to me and my family and fellow vets over the years. We've enjoyed sporting events, Cirque du Soleil and comedy shows. I've talked to my veteran friends who live in other cities throughtout California and they've told me about events that they've attended through OCC. I've also met other vets, active duty and dependants during events who attended thru OCC. It's a great organization who volunteer their time to help our active duty and vets to build our moral.
Thanks to OCC, SF Giants, SF Niners, and gracious donors, My family have had opportunities to attend professional baseball and Football games and create memories and bonding experiences we will talk about for years to come. This organization is very professional yet personal

Operation Care and Comfort has been one of the biggest blessing to my family over the years. Many years ago Julie helped me do a welcome home for one of my troops that was returning from deployment. His family was truly surprised and overjoyed at his return (was perfectly planned and executed). The whole surprise was amazing and my heart was so filled with gratitude at what this wonderful organization was able to put together for his family. As the years have gone by my family has been blessed with SF Giants tickets which for us mean the world. Going to the Giants games are our families favorite thing to do. For a family of 5 there's no way we could afford to go to the games on our own. We are so grateful for Julie and the OCC for giving our family precious memories. I cant imagine the work that goes into all they do for us veterans but I am truly thankful for their service!

In 2017, I wanted to do a special welcome home for an outstanding troop that I had. Julie an the OCC, helped me an his family give him the best welcome home from a long deployment. Julie put together a surprise welcome home at 6 Flags. He surprised his whole family during the penguin show as a special guest. The look on his kids' faces was worth a million bucks. The OCC and 6 Flags included the best day of behind the scenes for them. Was truly amazing an a gift that's priceless for his family. I am so thankful I got to be apart of such a blessing! OCC has been a part of my life since 2006 when it was run out of the red cross. Julie and company supported my unit and I while we were overseas. My family and I have volunteered ever since and will continue to do so for such an amazing organization. Thank you OCC.

This is an amazing organization that takes care of military members and their families. Julie has provided myself and my family with spectacular Giants tickets. The first time was right after I deployed. It was an awesome memory we got to make after being apart for 4 months. The second time was ten years later with kids as teenagers. Making more special memories.

Operation Care and Comfort is awesome. Always volunteering opportunities and they constantly looking to get us to events. I got to take my mother to a Niners training camp and she loved every minute of it. I even go to volunteer to do the flag during the National Anthem. Those are my favorite memories among others that Operation Care and Comfort has helped me attend. I always tell other active duty and veterans to make sure to follow them because they are that awesome.

I have been working with Operation: care and comfort for a long time. As a dentist, I met Julie when she solicited dental hygiene items for the troops. Over the years, with the Santa Clara County Dental Society, we have collected thousand of items. I have also helped in the packing of boxes and taken my nephews to help too. Great organization - clear mission and good spirit.
We first met this organization through their charity poker games. In 2022, my husband (National Guard-police officer) won 1st Place at the poker event. In 2023, I was fortunate enough to win the raffle prize of two SF Giants tickets. We attended the August 1 game - Law Enforcement Appreciation Night.
In the past we assisted with troop packing of care boxes with the Blue Star Moms. We're thankful for the generous sponsors and dedicated volunteers.
We're gathering donated food items to drop off to Julie for the Vets and their families. It's shameful that our military is struggling with paltry salaries and constantly struggle to support their families with basic items.

I started working with OCC sometime around their third year. For many years I was part of the team at packing and fund raising events. Could not have had a more wonderful time! My wife and son also were regulars at all events, my son about 6 at the beginning, and was a mascot of the packing teams. Julie presented him with a child size OCC volunteer shirt. My family is very proud of our time with OCC. We live in a different state now and I miss OCC events very much.
Best place for Veterans to feel appreciated. The service and dedication by Julie is awesome. When a Veteran needs help or just a little time to do something fun she is there to help. Thank You For All You Do For The Veterans Community.
During the Christmas season, I had a homeless veteran, family of 6, that I was struggling to find assistance for. They needed food, clothing and shelter. A few days before Christmas I was able to get them an apartment. The apartment was completely empty, but of course they were just happy to have a home for holidays. I reached out to multiple organizations that told me no. Someone introduced me to Occ. Not only did they provide Christmas for this veteran family, but they also bought beds, cribs, and a truckload of anything you would need for a home. That was 3 years ago. Both of these veterans are still in the home, working, and taking care of their kids. This organization makes a difference in so many veterans' lives to include my own. I'm truly thankful for them.
Operation: Care and Comfort is truly a model organization. Our family has been stationed at Travis for quite some time and they’ve supported us through good times and bad. Our kids have grown up with this organization and their childhoods have been made all the richer for it. We are so thankful to have them. They’ve forever touched our lives and so many others in the military community!
This organization is fantastic. One small benefit that our family has been able to take advantage of is the tickets for SF Giants games. For such a small thing, it has brought our family so much joy. We’ve been able to attend great games in amazing seats and it’s wonderful to see how such a simple thing can bring so much happiness. We’ve been able to create so many memories that we might not have been able to have if it wasn’t for OCC. Thank you from our military family.
Occ is an amazing non profit who gives there absolute all to service members. I have volunteered at many events and at the storage facility. They are organized and everyone works together as an amazing team. Thanks to the amazing donors I was able to attend SF giants games & San Jose sharks game this season along with last year. I couldn’t be more thankful for an amazing organization that Julie and the team have created. When you are on active duty you can’t always go to games or take advantage of the benefit. So it means the world to many veterans that never got to take advantage of those benefits. Thanks to Occ we are able to do it when we are back home with our family & out of the service. There is no other organization like them. They care about every single person & the care packages get a lot of thought put into them. I was honored to have my unit receive some care packages as well. Operation: Care and Comfort is an AMAZING organization that made it possible for our Soldiers and their families to attend the Giants vs Mariners game on the 4th of July. We had an amazing time, and we will forever be grateful to this magnificent organization that made that day a truly amazing experience that created lifelong memories for our Soldiers and their families. On a personal note, I brought my two baseball crazed sons to the game, and I was elevated to hero status (at least for a few days) in their eyes. Truly grateful for all that they do for servicemembers and veterans. A very big thank you goes out to Ms. Julie DeMaria for founding this amazing organization and being in contact with us every step of the way to help us and answer all of my questions leading up to the game.

Support this non-profit! What the fine people who work for this organization do for military members, veterans and their families is immeasurable. They are always there for so many of us who need help and support. As a veteran’s spouse, it feels really special to be supported, and to be able to do things for your children and family that you wouldn’t be able to do otherwise. Having endless opportunities to attend events, baseball games, concerts thanks to supporters of this program, has been truly uplifting, and we are so thankful for everything they do.
Operation Care and Comfort has been a great resource for me and my Air Force unit over the past 4 years that I have been in the Bay Area. From providing free tickets to events to military members and their families to handing out huge jugs of sanitizer during peak COVID at Travis AFB to help keep our work center clean. OCC also sent care packages to my unit when we were deployed in the middle East and their reach of generosity to the Bay Area and surrounding bases does not go unnoticed.
I am currently serving in the USCG. Operation care and comfort has provided myself as well as numerous military families tickets to huge events in the Bay Area. I can't begin to tell you how amazing this organization is.....but I'm going to try! This group popped up on my things you might be interested in and being curious I gave it a click...BEST DECISION EVER!!! Now I'm a delivery driver with UPS so my days off are few and far between but they've hooked me and my wife up a few times with some amazing tickets to see our SF Giants!
They are also making this possible.......seeing my father after 21 years! He's a vet that also joined OCC! Nothing better than a father and son reconnecting watching America's favorite past time!

I am a US Veteran in the Bay Area and it isn’t always celebrated well in the community. OCC has created opportunities for me and my family that have improved our quality of life. They have touched the lives of so many Veterans and tirelessly continue to do so. They also incorporate Veterans in volunteer opportunities as well which also enriches the lives they aim to serve.
We are a big military family of 6, so going to any event means we buy 6 tickets, not to mention 6 of everything once we are in the event. Operation Care and Comfort was amazing giving us 7 tickets, 1 extra for my mother in law. It was my son's birthday and going to an event is rare due to our large family. My son was beyond excited when we told him we were going to an MLB game. They are so helpful to the Military families!
Operation Care and Comfort has been so amazing to my family. Providing free tickets for baseball games and helping with USO gifts for the troops at my base. They do so much for the military community and are very kind and respectful in there interactions.
Operation Care and Comfort is an amazing organization that goes out of their way to help all soldiers and veterans! One year I was struggling trying to make Christmas happen for a homeless veteran family. I placed one call to Julie and not only did they make Christmas happen, they provided them a bed and food. That has stayed on my heart forever.
Since I signed up with OCC almost 10 years ago and we have had nothing but great times. I have been able to bring my wife and our kids as well. I was honored by being named Fan of the Game at an A’s game honoring the military and I was selected to drop the puck at the Stockton Heat hockey game. I heard about this nonprofit from a friend that I work with in the Air Force and I was very surprised to see how amazing of an organization they are. Julie is always available to talk about things happening around the area and gets the word out about so many events taking place. Bet professional and has a variety of tickets and help they can offer.
Saying that Julie and Frank go above and beyond for Military families isn’t enough to describe the huge impact OCC has in the community. Aside from making tons of us happy by providing activities, and allowing us to attend games to some of our favorite sports, to me and my husband shes family.
When I met Julie I reached out in a desperate plea looking for answers to programs that could help us. During the worst time of our lives financially and having another baby on the way, & at high risk it was that god sent her. We felt so much understanding, love, and guidance from her. We never could pay her back! When I learned of her storage and all the thousands of care packages that get put together I knew we had to help. Every Tuesday when the husband was off we made the drive over to help sort, pack and load. It isn’t all about the amazing experiences we’ve had at games., it’s about one person going out of her way and not realizing the huge impact she truly has!! I cried myself to sleep so many nights. I got married and knew nothing of what it was like to marry a soldier. To be thrown in this and be alone with kids. OCC was there. OCC continues to be there for us! When we moved states, as hard as it was leaving family and friends behind.. but doing what we had to for our kids future. Julie was there. I will Forever be grateful for OCC! And as long as I can I’ll continue to give back anyway I can! She truly has a heart of gold! Considering every detail, to ensure military personnel get a thoughtful care package, to the spouse at home, and to the children waiting for their mom or dad.. she always comes through to make us feel like we matter! I hope OCC continues their mission because a lot of us would not be here if it wasn’t for them. We love you Julie & Frank!
Thank you so much to this wonderful group. My family and I PCS'd here in the area with the Army. Being this far from family was hard. We have two special moments with the OCC. One was when my husband was deployed to Africa for 6 months, and they sent his unit care packages. The next one is my personal favorite. An unforgettable moment with my son during his senior year of high school. As a Clemson alumni it has always been a dream of mine to get him to a game….we were sooo lucky that we were gifted these incredible seats by a father/son season ticket holders when Clemson BEAT Bama at Levi Stadium!! So blessed to say the least!
If I could I'd give OCC more stars, but I'll have to settle for a 5/5. Julie and Co. always go above and beyond for us by giving our veterans and their families a way to decompress and by sending care packages to support those down range. They also personally impacted Beale AFB by assisting our family picnic back in 2019. Our funds fell through the cracks and Julie made sure our picnic was still a success with their generous prizes they donated as well as monetary support. Operation Care and Comfort is a family. We found them after we moved here in 2013 and started volunteering at pack outs. They organized events where boxes are assembled with goodies to be mailed to those who are deployed. Not everyone has family that sends them packages. OCC was a place we wanted to volunteer because we knew they were getting items to soldiers that may not otherwise receive anything. OCC has helped our family during the holidays and helped send our family of 5 to events. As a family of 5 it is next to impossible to afford to go to sporting events. Due to their generosity we have attended baseball, hockey, basketball and football games. There have been concerts and more they have helped us go to. Times when my husband was gone they have checked on us and made sure we were doing well. I can never thank the team at OCC enough. They're incredible!

OCC is an amazing group that has helped many and our family directly. They help send care packages to troops overseas in locations where items are not easily accessible. Their Tickets for Troops programs is incredible. Every ticket is FREE with no hidden fees or charges. They will help families, yes families, like mine with three children go to sporting events, concerts and more. This has helped us go to events we otherwise would not be able to afford. During the holidays the organization helps many in the area with needs and gifts. I can not describe each of the invaluable amount of services OCC provides to the military community because they never stop. I am honestly not sure when their all volunteer organization sleeps. OCC is a fantastic organization supporting veterans. We partnered with them to have youth create care packages for troops overseas. The staff at the nonprofit were always responsive and helpful. I highly recommend the organization to my contacts as a nonprofit to support.
This charity has provided some awesome experiences for my family and I. Have gotten to bond with my little brother over sporting events, have gotten to take the field for an A's batting practice. Also got to help carry the flag during a Raiders game, for the National Anthem. The people running OCC are amazing. World could use more people like them!

One of the best, most dedicated, selfless military/veteran organizations I’ve ever had the privilege of working with in my 30+ years of service to this country. They go above and beyond in taking care of military members, veterans and their families. From care packages for our deployed service members, to free tickets, to donating time/gifts/love to veteran hospitals, and so much more, this organization does it all. Most noteworthy, they even stepped up during COVID-19 and put together activity bags for kids and delivered hand sanitizers, masks and baked goods to service members, veterans and their family members during this unprecedented pandemic. They literally think of everything and more, and then deliver time and time again with a smile on their faces. They are a class act and all about service before self. The military community at large is so blessed to have OCC looking after them. My favorite nonprofit of all time!
The OCC is a great organization. They take care of military members and they recognize the sacrifices these men and women have made to defend this nation. Whether it’s sending care packages overseas or donating concert tickets, they are looking out for the military.
All of our children were born overseas. They had never lived in America until we moved to Travis Air Force Base. We knew the first thing to do was to get them to a baseball game! They were in love! We received tickets through OCC and keep going back. Without OCC we would not have been able to create so many lifelong memories for our boys! Go Giants!

I was introduced to OCC by a fellow veteran a few years ago. From the beginning, OCC's mission was very clear. They're here to support troops, veterans, and their families while at home or serving abroad. People helping other people with similar life experiences. I have had the pleasure of volunteering for them a handful of times and the way they run their ship is impressive and admirable. The team is hard working and professional. What I like the most about OCC is the way in which people gather together and work hard to make things happen without seeking reward or recognition. OCC takes care of you and then asks, "What else can I do for you?"
OCC IS GREAT they really are Inclusive of everyone who want to volunteer. There’s something for everyone to do!
It has been an honor to volunteer with OCC for over a decade. It is a TOTALLY-VOLUNTEER organization! All the volunteers are truly passionate about what we are able to do for those who have served our country and who continue to do so. Though we can never repay them, we are blessed to have the opportunity to bring joy and provision to them, whenever possible.

Operation Care and Comfort is an all volunteer military support organization. We support deployed military with care packages. We also support local military families through out Adopt A Military Family for the holidays. We also provide tickets to military families for sporting events as well as other entertainment venues.
This organization takes care and time to make sure they are doing the most for service members and veterans. Having worked with them several times, I can tell you the volunteers and their leader, Julie, truly care about making a difference and go to great lengths to accomplish their goal of giving back to those who serve. This organization operates throughout the Bay Area and special attention is paid to ensure their efforts are spread to as many military organizations and service members as possible. It is not the same unit receiving care packages and/or tickets over and over. I have personally seen a care package event take place and the size of the event was overwhelming. Hard to believe someone started this in their garage, and has now grown to packing and shipping from professional sports teams facilities. I am a leader of a soldier who’s family benefited from Operation Care and Comfort’s Christmas donations. I cannot describe to you their disbelief and appreciation that everything on their children’s wishlists was delivered and wrapped.
By far Operation Care and Comfort is one of the best organizations that helps out service members at a moments notice. They are not only a organization but family. They have helped my family and I many times and I would have made it through some situations without them.

I am a Vietnam Veteran and I have high regard for Operation Care and Comfort. Their dedication to supporting both Veterans and active military and their families is outstanding. An example of their support for Veterans was their contribution to "goodie" bags to the PTSD Center at the VA center in conjunction with the Vietnam Veterans of America, VFW, AmVets for the annual "Super Bowl Party". They also provide a medium for the distribution of home items for needy active duty military and their families. I will continue to support this organization and the other volunteers in their mission of supporting Vets and active duty military.

OCC has helped me overcome a lot of obstacles I’ve faced after getting out of the military. They helped my morale by giving my opportunities to go to events, and to volunteer my time to help those still serving overseas. PLUS, OCC is ALL volunteers. Nobody gets paid, and they really love to volunteer.
OCC is an outstanding organization. I first encountered this organization while serving in the Persian Gulf aboard the USS JUNEAU in 2005. They monthly Care Package program, brought a little piece of home to our salty crew, serving during Operations Iraqi & Enduring Freedom. They're continually expanding their organizational outreach. In 2010 they even began embracing surviving Gold Star Families of our Fallen Heroes, who have made the ultimate sacrifice for freedom. They are truly "the real deal"!

Operation: Care and Comfort is an outstanding organization. Their ALL volunteer crew use their personal transportation, time and network connections, to bring Free no-cost support to military service members, veterans and their dependents. We are a family of five. After serving on active duty with the U.S Navy for 21 years. It was a struggle getting the family together for an affordable night out. OCC stepped right in; providing free field-level tickets to an Oakland Athletics (NBL) home game for our entire family but they didn't stop there! They somehow arranged for our kids to have a tour on the field and even highlighted my military service, as the Oakland A's "Veteran of The Game!" This was an extremely humbling experience and the look of joy and pride on the faces of my children will resonate with me forever. Our country leads the world in its charitable giving, love and support, because of great organizations like OCC. Hoorah and Bravo Zulu!

Operation Care & Comfort has been a part of my life since approx. 2004. Over the years, I have attended care pack events, fundraisers, and have helped behind the scenes doing admin. work. As a volunteer & Board Member, I am proud to support this group of dedicated individuals and their Mission.
I have also been a recipient of this org's generosity. Years ago, I had difficulty obtaining my husband's US flag when he passed away. OCC 's founder, Julie DeMaria, helped along with a former retired Lt. Colonel in not only getting a flag for my family but having members of the US Navy at a small ceremony to present it to me. It meant more than words can express to finally have this representation of my husband's service to his country.
In addition, OCC volunteers helped me move from the home my husband & I had shared to my current home. I can never thank them enough for the kindness and generosity of both resources & spirit that this awesome group of people provided during some difficult times.

We are parents to a Veteran and a deployed Soldier, also a Blue Star Mother so this past weekend my husband and I joined OCC In a troop packing event at Ayaya Stadium. (Thank you to them for the venue)
We had a great time. Everything went so smoothly and the people were so happy and excited to help in any way. We thank you for keeping our Soldiers in your thoughts and hearts by letting them know they have not been forgotten.
OCC helped my family a few years ago during the holidays. I had been in an auto accident and was too injured to go back to work and things looked bad but Julie and OCC really came thru for us and we are eternally grateful.

As a volunteer of Operation Care and Comfort, I want to know what I do and the donations given are being used in the best possible way. Operation Care and Comfort is a total non-profit. Everyone is a volunteer, which means the lowest possible operational budget necessary to run the non-profit, not line the pockets of Executives and Board Members. This organization walks the talks and put's it's mission front and center. And community outreach to Military, Veterans and their family is a shining example of how to run a non-profit, for the people who need the help, and not for the pat on the backs of it's executives and board members. I have worked with members of the executive and board members side by side having a good time while helping to send a piece of "Home" to our soldiers in conflict areas. Amazing non profit. Took my kids to several of their first major sporting events and also had the pleasure to pack care packages to soldiers who sometimes get to send a message back. What a great feeling. The people behind this group are amazing and will do everything they can to help the troops and families of troops!! I’m NC1 Belen, assigned to Navy recruiting District San Francisco. I volunteered with Julie and operation care and comfort to raise awareness and funds to help wounded veterans in Danville, CA. They brought out General Pattons Jeep from the war and we handed out flags to spread patriotism. It was a great experience, very organized, thought out, and the other volunteers were great professionals. I’d definitely do it again for such an A Class Nonprofit.
Great organization. I have attended multiple fun events at zero expense. Their social media is fun to follow. Great way to find an activity and distract yourself from daily stresses. The staff is very helpful and responsive, easy to reach and keep their word. Their support does not only help veterans to attend events locally, but also, they help overseas troops with care packages that brink a bit of home when forward deployed. Great organization all around. Worth supporting and donating.

Our Boy Scout Troop has been working with Operation Care and Comfort for a few years. We believe in what they are doing to support our military troops and veterans so whenever we are able we volunteer to help them assemble care packages. My son was fortunate to be able to complete his Eagle project for Operation Care and Comfort who helped him send care packages assembled to the 101st Airborne. We will continue to support Operation Care and Comfort in supporting military and veterans.

This organization is excellent! All of the volunteers have a true passion for service to all members of the military and veterans. As a former military spouse, we have been blessed with many opportunities to obtain tickets to events my family would have otherwise missed out on. As a recipient, I felt the need to give back and have in turn supported OCC through volunteering and monetary donations. Along the way, I have been blessed with lifetime friends. Very few, if any organizations are 100% volunteers. This is what I am most proud of this organization. The co-founders wanted to give and no one takes. It's an incredible gesture that they want nothing but to help others.
This organization has helped me live again in more ways than one. I moved from the bay area years ago and I will forever carry the memories close to my heart. I even have a life long hobby of collecting San Francisco giants bobbleheads. It all started from attending one giants bobblehead giveaway game which I would have never attended if it wasn't for Julie and Operation care and comfort. It truly brings me comfort in most difficult of times.

I work for the VA, and a rehabilitation program. Occasionally I bring a van load of Vets to the packing parties, to send supplies to our active troops fighting the war on terror, which in itself is a wonderful day for the Vets. Because we do this "Operation Care And Comfort" has sent myself and the Vets for a few years now to multiple sporting and music events, giving these homeless vets lives a much needed boost! The impact it has on the guys is immeasurable, some haven't been able to enjoy themselves in years. Julie and Frank work tirelessly giving my vets and many many others as well as active troops and their families the time to separate themselves from such issues as PTSD and separation from loved ones.
OCC is an incredible organization that not only provides support to active duty military families, but to veterans and their families as well. From sending care packages to deployed service members to donating tickets to sporting events, concerts and plays, OCC gives back to those families that otherwise may not have the opportunity to attend. Our military doesn't always have room in their budget to buy tickets for those fun family events, and I for one can't thank them enough as my family has been the lucky recipient of their support on numerous occasions. We absolutely LOVE OCC!!!!!!!
OCC is a very organized charity group. We have participated in several events that are always meticulously scheduled with the purpose clearly stated prior to work. They go out of their way to support uniformed service members here stateside but focus even greater on those assigned overseas. By far the funnest way to make a difference in the community.

Not only do they support the troops deployed and on the front lines but they also support the military family back home. From tix for troops, care package for the deployed, homeless vet support and even adopt a military family. They don't even have a paid employee!!! They are all VOLUNTERS!! By the far best program I have ever helped and my family has helped and been helped from.

Navy Destroyer, I was finally up for Shore duty. Once I got Stationed in the
Bay Area , OCC made an immediate impact on my life! I could've never
predicted that so many volunteer opportunities would be available to me. I

My unit was out on a base in Afghanistan that was shutting down in 2013. It was difficult to get our mail because all our mail was being shipped to Kandahar and had to be brought over by convoy. The store shut down and the chow hall was shutting down and serving whatever they had left. Bologna stir fry, bologna burritos, bologna all day every day for weeks. Looked like low quality dog food at times but there wasnt much else. The care packages provided by Operation Care and Comfort were a true blessing during a time when we didnt have much or a way to get some of the simple comforts items.
The holidays were tough but Operation Care and Comfort gave us little pieces of home and a nice surprise during Christmas time.
Prompt and exceptional service, always happy to please! Speedy with emails and always patience! Turkey a gift to service members!!!
Operation care and comfort is such an amazing organization. We are an active duty military family that used to be stationed in the Bay Area. Julie and the rest of the OCC has done such an amazing job taking care of our active duty, retireed and veterans on so many different levels. Their efforts and allowed our family experience many things and create priceless meteorites that we will cherish forever through their tickets program.
We have also experienced the volunteer side of the organization and participated in care package assembling and fund raising. They have been amazing and continue to do Amazing things for our military community through their partnerships and hard work to help as many people as possible.

One thing in particular was when we received floor tickets to a Kenny Chesney concert. It was our last big hurrah with all 5 of us, before our oldest son left for boot camp and our daughter went back to college. We couldn't have gone without the help from OCC!

The selfless work and energy that Julie and her team put in every day to Operation Care and Comfort sets them apart from other charities. This organization consistently supports our troops overseas, AND still supports veterans back home. OCC spends countless hours taking care of America’s finest. Coming back from deployments and getting out of the military is very challenging for some veterans, myself included. I lost the urge and drive to go out and have fun. Julie’s organization makes it easy and painless for us vets to go out and enjoy ourselves once more, and rewards our families for all the sacrifices THEY have made as well. I wish I had the ability to be more active with Julie’s headquarters to help her pack and ship the thousands of care packages they send out to our military, but distance is a factor for me. IfJulie ever needs a rep in Brentwood/Discovery Bay, I’m her guy!
