Mission: The coalition works to eliminate homelessness by supporting people who are homeless or at risk, local service providers and other interested individuals and groups through advocacy, education, organizing and networking.
Programs: The coalition maintains the homeless management information system (hmis), which is a computer software system utilized in the escarosa coalition and accessed by service providers. The program allows for the collection of information on clients requesting services. Hmis allows for enhanced decision making, avoidance of benefit duplication and accurate tracking of benefit utilization.
the coalition partners with escambia county schools to assist school age children from families who are either homeless or at risk of becoming homeless to remain in their school of origin.
the coalition has developed partnerships with over 25 agencies in the community to collaborate social services that provide assistance to those living in poverty.
