Mission: Open Scene is a Latina-led creative hub celebrating global culture through multicultural performances and unexpected experiences welcoming all, across the city of Orlando.
Results: • 500+ artists supported through paid opportunities • 40+ productions presented, created by Latin artists • 30+ grants and scholarships received to support our mission • Audience Reach: Nearly 3,000 readers of our monthly digital magazine and thousands of attendees/viewers through in-person and online programming • Accessibility Initiatives: Offered multilingual programming and pay-what-you-wish events to reduce barriers • Community Engagement: Hosted dozens of free forums and dramatic readings to foster dialogue, inclusion, and representation • Educational Impact: Delivered dozens of professional development workshops for both emerging and established artists • National/International Recognition: Collaborated with artists and institutions from multiple countries and states; co-founded and co-lead the National Alliance of Latin Theater Festivals with the Chicago Latino Theater Alliance to build interstate solidarity; invited speaker at major national arts convenings.

Each year, our programming directly benefits dozens of artists and cultural workers, as well as the multicultural audiences we serve.

Programs: Our offerings include theatrical performances, an international playwriting contest, interactive art installations, global cultural experiences, professional development workshops, and a monthly digital zine reaching nearly 3,000 readers. We prioritize accessibility through our “pay-what-you-wish” model and deliver multilingual content—translated into up to 25 languages using AI-powered tools—to engage diverse, multicultural audiences.
