I have worked for Open Door for a little over a year now and it has been the most rewarding job I have ever had. It is such a nice feeling to help the community and to see the smile and relief on our client's faces is a reward in itself. I have meet many wonderful volunteers through Open Door and even the ones that are here because of community service, have said that this was a great place to do their hours and how good they feel at the end of the day knowing we have helped so many. I, myself, have been in situations where I have had to utilize the services Open Door has to offer and its nice being able to be part of such a great team.So, Thank you Open Door for all that you do and all that you give.

Mission: To lift those in need through services provided with God's love, guidance, and provisions.
Results: 1,550-2000 families a month at pantry which includes roughly 1,120 children. 1800 meals a month at the soup kitchen.
Target demographics: We are here to provide nutritional meals to those in need.
Geographic areas served: Pettis County Missouri
Programs: Open Door Service Center was established in 1972 as a food pantry. We have evolved in order to meet the needs of our community. As of 2018 we added a soup kitchen to serve hot meals to assist the pantry in providing meals to the community. We serve nearly 1,600 meals a month at the kitchen and help roughly 1550-2000 families at our pantry.
