A good friend recommended Oodles of Doodles when my husband and I decided to adopt a rescue dog. What a wonderful organization! We cannot express how impressed we have been with the level of expertise, the total commitment, and true love and caring demonstrated by the fosters in this group. They work as a team to provide the best care possible for each and every rescue dog, and then work tirelessly to find the perfect forever home and family. Our 2 little poodles were put out on the streets after their owner died. After weeks of begging for food and struggling to stay alive, a stranger took them to a shelter.. but it was a high kill shelter in Virginia. A most wonderful foster rescued them, cared for them as her own, and nursed them back to health. And now, thanks to the work of Oodles of Doodles, Nick and Noelle have found their forever home with us. We could not be happier!
Our shelter has worked with this rescue on several occasions. They are caring, professional and courteous. Our interactions have been nothing but positive. I love that they even let me know when our dogs were adopted and send even have sent updates. I highly recommend them.
My boyfriend and I are both volunteers. I can honestly say from observation and expierence that these people love and truly care about these animals. Not to mention that they know what they're doing. I have gone to my local pet store on all the days that each volunteer group was there. I'm going to be completely honest when I say this. The volunteers and foster parents of Opdles of Doodles know what they are doing. When I went to volunteer with one of the other groups or inquire of a pet. I was ignored not once, but multiple times and I had to wait over an hour to meet a volunteer. Not Oodles of Doodles, they immediately engaged in conversation with me and even rembered my face. I've seen some of the volunteers cry tears of joy because a dog got rescued. My boyfriend and I have spent our own money on dog treats to give to the dogs just because we wanted to. I am proud to say that I am a volunteer with this organization and I look forward to every Friday from 5:30pm-8:00pm. I can honestly say that these people truly care about these animals.
I adopted a labradoodle from this organization four years ago and could not be more pleased. In fact, I recently adopted my second rescue from them last month. This organization and its members are top notch individuals who care deeply about animals in need, sacrifice huge amounts of time, energy and money to find homeless, thrown away dogs a new home and life. My first rescue adoption was a difficult case who had lived in a breeding puppy mill her whole life. Bringing her into a home, a family and a normal way of life was a very long journey. I felt supported and assisted the whole time. I was always able to turn to other members for advice and much needed information. My Maggie has now turned out to be a real joy who I can't imagine living without. I recently decided to begin fostering dogs from this group. My first foster, Oliver, was such a beautiful match for Maggie that of course we adopted him. I have been so inspired by the work of Lynne Fowler and her fellow members. These people work diligently and lovingly to change the lives of so many dogs. It is because of their efforts that Maggie and Oliver are alive today and thriving. When I think of how close these two beautiful animals came to being euthanized my heart just breaks. I am eternally grateful to Lynne for saving my two best friends and highly recommend Oodles of Doodles to anyone thinking of adopting their new best buddy.
I am currently a foster who previously adopted from Oodles. Having been on both sides i can honestly say, this organization is top notch. These people work tirelessly
literally around the clock to save the lives of as many dogs as they can. All the dogs are treated incredibly well and an enormous amount of effort is put into finding the perfect home for each and everyone of them. Oodles is a very special organizanrion with high standards and and an exceptional group of dedicated individuals holding it to those standards each and every day!
When we found Sarah she was in rough shape. We struggled to rehab her and loved her very much. We quickly realized we needed to re-home her to a family who had a larger home and could let her run and dig. I asked for help finding a rescue group and a dear friend pointed me to this one. They are wonderful to work with! They took pains to find a foster till our beloved Sarah could find the home she needed! The support and care they provide is wonderful! I would recommend them highly! I knew she would be well cared for and loved in their hands! They had transport provided for her and really cared how we felt. We cried as she left our home but I knew she was saved for that moment and they were going to find the family she was meant for. They are like family to us now! I love them dearly for what they have done to help Sarah!
If it wasn't for Oodles of Doodles Inc and their incredible caring foster's I would not have received the best little dog on the face of this earth. Caring and professional people, the best experience I've had with a rescue group. They truly care!
My experience with Oodles of Doodles was nothing but positive. The process went quickly and easily and we were able to provide a forever home to a very sweet puppy. The puppies are given the best of care prior to adoption and I feel that they do a very good job trying to make a good match for both puppy and future owner. They provide hope for animals that have been abused and/or abandoned. I have recommended them to several of my friends who were ready to adopt.
I have been a volunteer with Oodles of Doodles since it's inception and have supported it every step of the way. There is a true love of the dogs and a desire to make a dogs life better in this group. The rescued dogs become part of the foster family and then are found the best home available. This is a very honest organization and extremely trustworthy. I have nothing but admiration for everyone in this group.
I have been a volunteer with Oodles of Doodles, Inc. for over a year now. This group is made up of dedicated people who sincerely care about the welfare of not only dogs but all animals AND each other. From the moment a dog is taken under the group's wings, until they are adopted by their new family, they are loved unconditionally, fed the best nutritional food possible, and receive the best medical treatment (if necessary). From puppies to seniors, Oodles of Doodles, Inc. stretches out their arms to help. I am proud to say I am a voluteer with them and to have met such a wonderful group of people!
Amy and I foster dogs for them and they are very very help full. They spoil the dogs and treat them like king and queens the dogs are. I will all ways help Oodles of Doodles if they need my help. They save a lot of shelter dogs and that makes me happy for not a lot of people care about the shelter pet.
I started out as a foster mom for Oodles of Doodles Inc. during hurricane Sandy. When my own dog became stressed from all the new furry faces coming & going, they were more than understanding. Since that time, I have been a volunteer at events etc. It's a wonderful organization full of caring individuals & has been a pleasure to be involved with them. We are constantly learning & growing to better serve the needs of our little fosters & help educate the public. I couldn't ask for a better way to give of my time.
I was fortunate to find Oodles of Doodles when I was looking to adopt a dog. From start to finish, this organizations main concern was for the dog and that the future home was a good fit. Our family adopted a wonderful dog and we could not be happier and we think our little dog is pretty thrilled too! I have since donated to this excellent rescue and will do so again in the future. I would not hesitate to recommend Oodles of Doodles to other potential adopters.
My involvement in Oodles of Doodles began about 3 years ago when I personally rescued a Labradoodle in my neighborhood needing a new home. Oodles of Doodles Rescue's first question to me was, "How can I support you to help the labradoodle?" Other rescues didn't even return my emails. The labradoodle found a wonderful home and the process was professional. As a former corporate recruiter myself I found their process in finding homes the same as the process I used to locate and place high powered executives. Now I am rescuing dogs from high kill shelters and finding homes for them under the Oodles of Doodles name. I am proud to be one of the members of volunteers to represent Oodles. Recently there was a pregnant mother dog in a pen with 2 other dogs. It was urgent to save the mother and no other rescue seemed to have stepped up to save this mother. Suddenly Oodles of Doodles said pull the dog...and she was saved. In the next few hours she began to have her 6 puppies. We all scrambled to get her to a safe place as it was the middle of the night. It is these URGENT times that Oodles of Doodles has proven over and over to be a wonderful rescue group that keeps on growing. We all feel that the dog comes first in all decisions that are made and somehow we will make it work. The Director has a wonderful attitude and is well known in the rescue community. Personally just this year, I rescued 40 dogs from high kill shelters in the south and shelters are pleased to call us now, knowing that we follow up with all placements and consider everyone involved in the rescue to be "part of the village" that saves each life.
I have had the pleasure of working with Oodles of Doodles over the past 3 years. I used to help drive the pups on the transports from SW Virgina high kill shelters up to the foster folks in Central NJ. I was always amazed at how well organized and knowledgeable the organization is about each and every dog on the transports. I would meet the founder on the last leg of the trip and hand over the precious cargo -- at that point, she would still have several hours of driving and getting the dogs settled into their foster homes. I also know that each potential adopter is screened thoroughly because these dogs are only given to the people who really and truly want and know the responsbility of owning a pet. I personally adopted my little Leo from them when a potential adopter had a long-term conflict. Needless to say, he is a dream and I know others who have adopted from them who are totally thrilled with their new family members. I have come to know several members of the organization over the past several years and I truly cannot believe the dedication of love of animals that each and every one of them have. it's truly inspiriing and heart warming. Not only do they spread the word of their dogs up for adoption but they spread valuation information for all pet owners and always try and help get the word out about other dogs and cats in need of adoption. I love working with them and look forward to my continuing involvement in this wonderful organization.
I work with and have adopted from many rescue groups in my area of NJ. I decided to become a foster for Oodles of Doodles so we could rescue more needy dogs and find them great homes. Oodles prides itself on finding the right home for the dog not just finding the dog a home. The dogs live in our homes and not in cages and are treated as a valued member of the family until a furever home is found. I am glad to part of this organization as it has the needs of the animal before the needs of the rescue group.
