When I found out that my kitty had severe infections in her mouth and needed surgery, Onyx & Breezy was 1 of 3 organizations that agreed to help cover the costs. The surgery would have cost me about a month's worth of rent so...needless to say...I am so very thankful for the support! Thank you to all involved in helping people like me who get blindsided by these unexpected events and need the extra help!
Onyx & Breezy put the funds on Neyoni's account with the vet the day of her surgery. I was very pleased with how kind and efficient they were in handling everything.
Thank you again!!
Hello Friends, my story goes back a few years and continues to this very day. I have been out of work since July 2017, needed Surgery which finally happened in May 2019. In that time span I lost 3 cats in a six month period. Without work, emergencies are impossible for me on my small Social Security Income, and needless to say I blame myself for their loss. So when I noticed a lump, a month or so ago on my Big Andy's cheek (white & tan cat) I was beside myself. I searched the internet for help and organized a GoFundMe Campaign for his surgery. The good Lord sent me some wonderful people including The Onyx and Breezy Foundation , Tuxedo Park, NY. The surgery went well and Andy is now on his way to a full recovery. HOPEFULLY, this very morning another beloved cat of mine Suzy (tabby) passed away in my arms. She had been struggling with Asthma. Suzy and Andy where friends from the very beginning when I rescued her from the street. I hope this does not sadden him too much so that he may continue to heal properly. Through my deep sadness of losing Suzy, I am still so grateful to all that helped my Big Andy. God Bless and Happy Holidays. Rachel - El Cajon, California
I had submitted my paperwork and the treatment plan. They had approved me for $450 back in January 2017 and they had said that they would send the money to the vet clinic. I had believed their word and had waited until March 31st when I had some money to pay the rest of the balance off. I was assuming that the balance was going to be at least $1200. So, I had called the clinic and to my surprise, it was $2400. I had sent an email to this foundation asking what happened to the $450 that they approved me for. They sent me an email back stating that they haven't heard from me since January 25th and they haven't received an invoice from the vet clinic. The charity assumed that my dog had already had her surgery., which she didn't. That email proved that the staff had lied to me and never sent an email asking questions about my dog's surgery and had me believed that they donated the money when they never did. They are deceptive.
The Onyx and Breezy foundation help with a donation to save my kitten Storm, who needed an amputation. I could not afford the additional costs and only other alternative was euthanasia. Fortunately they stepped in and saved him. I now have a very lucky and energetic 3-legged cat. Many thanks. Courtney Davis
