I had the opportunity to tour this facility today. Few hands do a great work. Besides helping poor and needy families with clean and quality clothing, they also help people get jobs by providing suits, quality shoes, clothing and work boots for those who need them. They even wash the clothing of the homeless in order to help them find work, and preserve their dignity.
Truly a godly work and as a Christian I was happy to donate today. I know the money will go to actually help people in need have a better life.

Thank you, Kathy98! We love being able to help the families who need clothes, particularly for their children. Three things we continually need, to serve them: donations of good clothing, volunteers to serve our clients, and people like you who donate to keep the doors open. Your help will bless many, many people. Thank you again.

This is a true local, grassroots charity. I am honored to be a board member and have been humbled to serve the neediest among us - mostly children. This organization exists on an all volunteer crew and almost entirely on the donations of individuals. While the mission of The Clothes Cabin is to clothe bodies, it is done in spirit of honoring the dignity and worth of every individual who comes in the door.

I started this group in 2001 with a handful of friends who agreed that we could make life easier for people in need, by doing one small thing well. We gathered socks, hundreds, then thousands of them, washed, bleached, mended, packaged, and delivered more than 160,000 pairs to shelters, clothing banks, and other organizations that serve the poor. In 2009, we expanded the "one small step" into a much larger project, The Clothes Cabin, to provide free clothes and bedding to people who cannot afford to buy what they need.

In 2010, One Small Step helped 833 families with clothes. The Back-to-Work program provided steel toed work boots to men whose job (or potential job) required them. In 2011, Clothes Cabin added laundry services for homeless people and every month the demand for clothing and laundry increases.
