Mission: OMNIAMERICAN CREDIT UNION WAS ORIGINALLY FORMED ON NOVEMBER 27, 1956 AS CARSWELL FEDERAL CREDIT UNION. IT'S GOAL BACK THEN WAS TO SERVE THE ACTIVE AND RETIRED MILITARY PERSONNEL OF CARSWELL AIR FORCE BASE IN FORT WORTH, TEXAS. SEVEN INDIVIDUALS, WITH A COMBINED SAVINGS OF $35, FOUNDED THE CREDIT UNION. IN THE EARLY 1980'S, THE CREDIT UNION CHARTER WAS EXPANDED TO INCLUDE OTHER DEFENSE RELATED COMPANIES.
