Causes: Arts & Culture, Children's Museums
Mission: The mission of Omaha Children’s Museum is to engage the imagination and create excitement about learning.
Target demographics: children ages 8 and younger
Direct beneficiaries per year: More than 332,000 individuals, with on-site and off-site programs
Geographic areas served: Eastern Nebraska and Western Iowa
Programs: Omaha Children's Museum has permanent and traveling exhibits that present hands-on activities to engage and challenge children ages 8 and younger. The museum offers educational programs in arts and science; field trips; outreach programs in schools, daycares, and other locations; summer camps; and early childhood programs. The Welcome Fund is a donor-funded program providing family memberships to those who could not otherwise have the opportunity to enjoy our programs and exhibits.
