Old Fella volunteers work hard to save the animals of Burke County. They offer free (or very low cost) spay neuter surgeries in order to prevent births of additional unwanted pets. They offer rescue to those that have already been abandoned. They provide education to elementary school students in hopes that they can change the overall attitude of its citizens. This is a great group of people trying to make a difference.

This organization works diligently in the ongoing effort to make a change in the overpopulation and homelessness of unwanted animals in Burke County Georgia. They provide pick up and return service (to a designated area) for those who take advantage of the no/low cost spay/neuter litter patrol program. The foster families provide socialization, nurturing, and nutrition to the rescues and transport them to vet appts. and adoption events. The organization partners with no kill shelters to find forever homes for those that are not adopted locally. There are so many areas that require someone willing to take on the tasks with a vengence in order for this to work. The teamwork makes it possible for these animals to have a fighting chance to become an important member to someone's family.
