Mission: Promote the establishment and success of multidisciplinary teams and children's advocacy centers by providing support, education, and networking opportunities to enhance ohio's response to child abuse.
Programs: 1)oncac continued its work as the primary response network for minor victims of human trafficking and provided training and technical assistance to 31 accredited and developing child advocacy centers. 2)oncac offered 5 regional conferences on the multidisciplinary response to child victims of pornography. 3)oncac held 6 director's meetings for the children's advocacy centers and provided web-conference meetings for those who could not attend due to weather or scheduling. 4)oncac held a two day strategic planning retreat to determine priority focus areas for the orgnaiations with input from membership, board members, partners, and funders. 5)oncac was awarded pro bono branding from red thinking llc and attended a launch event in washington, dc. 6)oncac provided technical assistance to centers applying for re- accreditation with the national children's alliance. Oncac also provided support to one new center that achieved accreditation with nca for the first time. 7)oncac provided training and technical assistance to 7 developing centers or multidisciplary teams looking to provide cac services to children in their county. Increasing access to cac services is a primary focus area for oncac. 8)oncac attended the june 2017 national children's alliance leadership conference - offering a full scholarship to a representative of a developing cac. 9)oncac provided oversight for the nca sub-awardee and direct support grants for the 25 eligible accredited children's advocacy centers. 10)oncac provided technical assistance in the development of deliversable for the odjfs/human trafficking grant and provided oversight for the implementation of activities and reimbursement to 26 children's advocacy centers in ohio. 11)oncac co-sponsored the ohio attorney general's two days in may annual conference 12)oncac attended the nca chapter summit in dallas, texas which provided education on fiscal health for non-profits. 13)oncac attended two mrcac regional summits in minneapolis, mn that provided education on evaluation and quality assurance for state chapters. 14)oncac participated in the midwest regional children's advocacy center advisory calls, the national children's alliance chapter calls and legislative webinars, the public children services association of ohio legislative meetings/calls, the sexual assault advisory board of ohio (saabo) meetings, the ohio alliance to end sexual violence, voices for ohio's children forums, the ohio anti-trafficking coalition meetings, the ohio human trafficking prevention work group, the ohio chapter of the american academy of pediatrics meetings, ohio children's trust fund child abuse prevention month committee, women of color caucus for victim advocates, ohio human trafficking commission and the victim services subcommittee, sub-committee meetings of oncac and various meetings held by the ohio attorney general's office - crime victim assessment, and the ohio human trafficking commission
