We have a Holland Lop that we were given by a teacher that was not able to have him as a class pet in her new school. He's a lovely pet but we had some learning to do after adopting him. OHRR helped us get the right food, hay, and xpen for him so that he's much happier and healthier. We go to the Bunfest every year. The Bunfest "spa" is worth every cent and our bunny enjoys all of the other rabbits (and crazy bunny people like myself) at the fest. My daughters and I visit with the bunnies at OHRR a couple of times a year just to socialize with them. The location is awesome and we enjoy seeing different breeds of bunnies. I like to donate to this organization with my United Way funds. I can see where the funds go everytime we visit the facility.
It is wonderful to see the OHRR accomplish its dream of opening an adoption center! I am so proud to be a part of such a caring organization that helps so many homeless bunnies and the people who love them. This is one of the most meaningful things I've ever done in my life. If you want to be part of this amazing experience, stop by the Adoption Center at 5485 North High Street or visit us at Midwest Bunfest on November 2nd!
Great group and I am very impressed with how hard everyone is working for the bunnies! I had no idea that there were so many abandoned and unwanted bunnies in central ohio!
I have had house rabbits for 15 years, and I am always online looking for new ways to keep my bunnies happy and healthy. Kentucky has no organizations that are primarily concerned about the welfare of rabbits. So I jumped at the opportunity to come to Bunfest! The educational seminars were very informative and the people I met truly care about helping bunnies and educating the public about the proper care about these amazing, intelligent and loving animals. I only wish I didn't live four hours away, because I would love to be able to volunteer with this wonderful organization on a regular basis!
This intelligent playful companion pet deserves so much more than a small cage on a back porch or backyard isolated from social interaction! This organization helps spread the word that rabbits deserve better than this through education and events with the ultimate goal of building a rabbit only shelter to meet a rabbits special needs and space requirements while they await adoption! Donating time through fostering and facilitating adoptions is very rewarding experience.
I have had rabbits as pets for over 30 years, and I finally realized that almost all of them have been rabbits that colleagues/friends didn't want anymore or rabbits that vet offices asked me to take in. So I joined a group of people who are trying to build a facility for all of the rabbits who need to be surrendered by their owners and rabbits who are found running around outside. All of the rabbits in the attached pictures were found running around outside.
my wife and I drove from Michigan to attend the Bunfest----we were very pleased both with the turnout of attendees as well as the diversity of educational seminars and the numerous vendors and representatives from other organizations
Ohio House Rabbit rescue is a fantastic organization that makes a difference for bunnies. They hosted the "MidWest BunFest" last fall which supported the community and rabbits by putting together a regional expo on rabbits. I learned a lot about rabbit care from professionals and was very pleased to attend. Please support this organization - they do great work!
Rabbits are the third largest population in animals shelters, and one of the most misunderstood pets. OHRR works very hard to educate people about how wonderful house rabbits can be. They take these oft times neglected and abused souls and give them love, care and understanding. I have worked extensively with OHRR and they are true gems!
This organization has been fantastic. I LOVE their effort to move towards establishing a shelter just for the buns!
I traveled from Nashville, TN in October to attend the MidWest BunFest. I had so much fun and enjoyed meeting all my new bunny friends. OHRR does so much for the rabbit community and I am so thankful for everything they do for rabbits everywhere. Thank you for being such an amazing organization!
