Causes: Environment, Land Resources Conservation
Mission: To promote awareness of responsible tree care practices through research, education, and training for arboricultural and community benefits.
Programs: The society provides 800 members and the general public with education through conferences held throughout the year, with members and outside speakers leading discussions and demonstrations. Testing for certification is available to insure the highest quality of work for the profession. Preparation classes are offered to achieve this goal. The chapter also has special events to raise money for scholarships for students studying to be arborists and to donate money to the tree research and education endowment (tree) fund. Additional donations to other organizations may also be made.
