Called this organization to request a few pieces of free furniture for so long e with two small children and has nothing but a kitchen table and chairs and a bed frame. You cannot speak with a person but someone contacted me through messenger. The person who contacted me said they had nothing to do with the United Way but when you call for a referral the recorded message directs you to The United Way Allegheny County Helpline 211 number. When I began to question this person about the charity and why this girl could not get help, I was told they had too many people I was then referred to another charity called Who's Your Brother. Contacted them and same issues. Was given another called The Blessing Board and again, same issue. I questioned if these were all related charities and why we couldn't get help from any. We were told we need a referral from on of the agencies listed but the o ly one listed was The United Way 211 . I started to question things and they stopped accepting my messages

Programs: The organization worked with local social service agencies, partner churches and volunteers to operate a non-profit furniture bank serving the pittsburgh area. During 2016, over 350 families were served by the organization's furniture bank program. In addition, over 9,000 items of furniture and household items were collected and delivered to the families served by the organization.
