The oaks changed my life 6 years ago. Their program has helped me help 1000s. I will forever be grateful for the second chance at life they gave me!!!!
I have worked with them in a professional capacity and have witnessed numerous miracles from their work. You will not find a more dedicated staff anywhere. I am a huge believer in The Oaks!
I came through Oaks Recovery back in July of 2019. This place not only restored my faith in God, but in others, in life, and most importantly, in myself. The peer-support model of this program allowed me to become more vulnerable with others and myself. It also gave me the opportunity to use my experience, strength, and hope to help other men experience the same level of freedom that the 12 Steps provided me. The staff here is dedicated to the individual success of each resident, and is always pushing us to be the very best version of ourselves that we can be; mentally, physically, and spiritually. I am now 14 months sober, happy, joyous, and free, and it's because Oaks Recovery allowed me to build a relationship with a God of my understanding, develop meaningful friendships and relationships with others, regain financial stability, experience serenity, and find myself again through helping others. God has His hand on this property, and he is creating miracles here every single day.
Recovery like the founders of AA, I’ve been in and out of treatment centers for 15 years and I have always had been fighting with my addiction and when I arrived at Oaks Recovery I knew that I was at a great place and God had his hand on the property. Today I’m 20 months clean and sober and my life is a blessing.
We dropped my son off at The Oaks in 2016 after 10 yrs of being in /out of many treatment centers. He celebrated 4 years of sobriety in March . We will be forever grateful for the staff’s willingness to not only support and guide him , but our family as well. They became much more to us than acquaintances, they’re family!! My son now Is raising his 4 yr old daughter, is a homeowner , and is a productive member of society . He continues to amaze us !
I can't say enough about this program. I have God use Oaks Recovery to bring healing to hundreds of guys! I know a lot of their staff, and they are incredible individuals with incredible hearts and I can't recommend them highly enough. I am in a profession where I see a lot of people battling addiction and I would send everyone of them to Oaks Recovery!!
Five years ago, my son was at the end of his rope. He had attended numerous inpatient and outpatient treatment programs in both New York and Florida and each time he would pick up again shortly after leaving them and returning home. This time around, he was fortunate to be accepted to Oaks Recovery and their program really worked! With an emphasis on the 12 steps, faith in God and a strong peer support group, he was able to finally be free of his habit and begin living his life the way God intended him to do. After completing the Oaks program, he remained in Greenwood, became a member of the staff, got married, has a beautiful wife and son, owns his own home, and has become a responsible and productive member of society. I thank God that he was afforded the opportunity to attend Oaks Recovery.

God bless Oaks RecoveryCenter. If it weren’t for Oaks, who knows where my son would have been now. After running the gamut from high priced country club treatment centers to county run facilities without any lasting success, the Oaks gave my son a second chance at life without drugs. He has been clean now for 2-1/2 years and has never been more focused and appreciative of God, family and the simple things that life has to offer. Their program really works!
The Oaks recovery center has been a blessing to our son and family! We have had the privilege of visiting the Oaks and getting to know the devoted owners, staff and men who strive daily to work through and live the 12 steps.
It was here at the Oaks where our son,Georgie, developed friendships and this warms our hearts. We know he will be friends with these warriors forever!
The Oaks is a place where spiritual and physical fitness are encouraged and vocational opportunities are given.
This is a unique place that has emotional support for each person because the staff and peers can relate to the struggles of addiction.
As a family we have been studying the 12 steps and are learning about the disease of addiction and recognizing that the 12 steps is a design for living for all people.
Blessed and grateful!

I can't say enough about this program at Oaks Recovery Center. I have seen them give so much love and care to people when in need of immediate help. The Oaks has been very active in the community and the guys that are in recovery are working so hard to change their lives for the better. I have had personal connections with several. I'm proud of the hard working staff, the program they provide, how they are there for the guys and put them first to listen and get them on a new life path. Best nonprofit rehabilitation centers around with great success.
I am a senior nursing student and I truly enjoyed my experience there. You can see and feel the positivity and “brotherhood” throughout everyone. Everyone had a story that will stick with me throughout my life and career.
My husband was 2 years clean when I met him. Our second date was at Oaks Recovery during a commencement. He was picking up his 2 year chip. I barely knew the man, but I held back tears as I watched the ceremony and what the men did for each other to help support and congratulate them on their recovery. Today my husband is almost five years clean on October 17, 2020. We have a beautiful son who will be 2 in December and a new baby on the way due April 2021. I did not know my husband as an addict but I thank the Oaks for saving my husband so that I could meet him and fall in love. Not only did they help my husband get sober but they provided him a job and he moved up through Oaks Recovery and is now the Program Director. God is so good and just to prove to you how good God is over a year ago my dead beat dad came back into my life at his mother's funeral all strung out after being out of my life for 11 years. My husband helped him get into the Oaks and today he is still clean over a year later and he is a Grandfather and dad to me and my son. I can't thank the Oaks enough for what they have done for my family. I thank God for the life my husband and father get to live today. I pray the Oaks last a life time and helps save more lives in the process. The program is great and helps the men learn how to live life clean and sober. If someone is truly serious about getting clean I strongly recommend Oaks Recovery as the place to go.
My Son has been an attic for over ten years and has been in three states looking and working to find a treatment center that fit him and really worked for there patients! It wasn’t until he found Oaks Recovery Center that he has been able to stay sober and really get his head back onto his shoulders and start working on his future! He is now and keeps moving forward with his sobriety and also is helping others with theirs. I am so proud of My Son and So happy he found the Oaks Recovery Center!!!
Thank you Oakes for all the great work you do. I will for ever be grateful for saving my sons life . living clean one day at a time. Thank you for caring .
My son has been battling addiction for over 10 years. As a parent I tried everything. Finally when he went to the oaks recovery he has been clean for almost a year now has secured a job within the Oaks program and is doing wonderful. I would recommend this program to anyone who is dealing with this life long disease.
The Oaks is a GREAT facility!! They saved my sons life!! I am FOREVER greatful!! I would highly recommend it. There are several stages of recovery and opportunity provided by this facility and trust me when I say...unfortunately, it took us a long time and several attempts and several facilities before finding the right fit!! I highly recommend the Oaks!!
This is a photo taken at my son's 1 yr celebration, his son, grandmother, aunt and myself were made sooo welcome!!! 2nd yr date is right around the corner in November!!
When I arrived at Oaks Recovery Center I had no hope and was a broken man. I immediately felt a part of thanks to the Staff and residents who welcomed me with open arms. Day by day I slowly was able to put my life together and will be eternally grateful for the unconditional love and support I was given every step of the way. I would recommend Oaks to anyone struggling with addiction who is looking for a way out. Chris K.
They are awesome. My son went through the program and it works! He is finally clean and sober. He now realizes how great life is living without addiction. Thank you Oak’s. Not only did you save him but you saved our entire family. God bless.
I came to Oaks Recovery in 2017 and I’m so grateful for this new opportunity for life. I came from Seattle,Washington and I’ve got a life today beyond my beliefs.Oaks Recovery is a top notch recovery center for those seeking a new life.
This place helped save my life and gave me all the tools needed to reemerge into society. I was given love, care, direction, and guidance by all the staff and fellow residents. I truly believe this place was a blessing from God, and because of it; I am now four years sober!
My son has been to more rehabs than I care to remember. Some were really more like a spa retreat . The ones that were the most beneficial were the two that emphasized the 12 steps and were the least fancy. The Oaks was one of these two. Not only was the 12 steps emphasized but finding something you’re passionate about pursuing . My son is now self supporting and is living a healthy lifestyle. He celebrated two years of sobriety March 2018. I can’t begin to express the gratitude I have for the Oaks and the staff. They aren’t just acquaintances, they’re family!! They sincerely care about the addict as well as the families affected by addiction. I won’t bore you with the long specific details but if you have questions or want to know more don’t hesitate to PM me . I’ll be glad to share .
The Oaks saved my life! I've been to countless treatment centers over the years and never have I come across one like The Oaks. The staff genuinely cares and want to show you a new way to live! Miracles happen at The Oaks, I am forever grateful for taking the journey to South Carolina!!
I never thought I would find happiness and I never dreamed of having peace, but that all changed when I made the decision to get help at the Oaks! The Oaks was my fourth treatment center and of course i thought it was going to be just like the rest of them, but man was I wrong. The staff not only cares about you personally, but they tell you what worked for them. They aren’t fancy counselors who try to preach what they learned would work. These guys are pouring their hearts and souls into preaching the message of recovery!! This place saved my life, and I am FOREVER greatful! If you’re ready for change, and you’re ready to find happiness give this place a call!! I promise you it will be the best decisiona you’ve ever made. They tools they give you carry on into real world practice!!
I can say with great confidence that the people at the Oaks Recovery Center helped to save my Son's life. He went there broken, sick and suffering in October, 2017. He has had many attempts at sobriety and this time I see a very different person emerging from the depths of his disease. There is a community of love and support, and as he said himself, "miracles happen here".
My friend went into Oaks Recovery in May of 2017. He was in rough shape while using plus just coming out of jail! He now has been clean and sober for 1 year since being there! He still continues his meetings and contact with his sponsor! This place helped him start to want to live again! Saved his life!
Where do I even begin? August 25, 2016 is when I arrived at the oaks. I was broken, hopeless, homeless, angry, deprived of any kind of happiness. For the past 15 years I was living to use and using to live. My famiy was disgusted with me, a son I haven’t seen in person for 6 years. With no money the oaks told me to come anyways. The staff went above and beyond to help me. I didn’t just learn how to stay clean there, I learned patience , to be an adult, responsibility, compassion towards others amongst other life skills. Today I wake up excited about life! I’m so blessed, I just don’t get to be a father today, but a Dad! I start college in the fall! I love the man I became, and who I’m becoming. I’m forever greatful for the oaks!! Who knows where I would be if they didn’t take a chance on me..Ty oaks, Ty lord
I have had the honor of getting to know several staff members, clients, and alumni from the Oaks Recovery Center over the past year. I have witnessed a staff that goes above and beyond the call of duty to work with the young men who are clients and alumni. Getting to to know several of the clients and alumni has been very rewarding for me. They are some of the most thoughtful individuals I have come in contact with. They are very appreciative of small things that you do for them or conversations you have with them. I have also volunteered here only to find everyone here grateful of service. I am so glad to know there is a place like the Oaks making a difference In the lives of young adults.
I entered into The Oaks community in December of 2014. I had been to other facilities and nothing ever worked for me. I went in assuming it would be the same song and dance as the other places, I could do my mandatory 4 months and go home. It wasn't long before I realized this place was completely different. Using the 12 step program you begin to bond with staff and the other residents. You begin to want to get better and want the same for everyone else. I can't imagine where I would be today without the help of The Oaks. I graduated the 4 month program, and stayed an extra four months to continue working on myself and to help other men and women struggling with addiction. Today, I am over 4 years sober and have a healthy baby boy. I continue to stay in contact with The Oaks staff and have made lifelong friendships that benefit me to this day. I now have the tools I need to stay sober and they continue to support me through the difficulties of everyday life. I did the hard work it takes to become sober, but I would never been able to had they not shown me the way. I am forever grateful for The Oaks Recovery Center... I am living proof that it can and does work with the right guidance and an open mind!!
I found the Oaks during my darkest days. I had a love affair with alcohol for many years. At my lowest point I reached out to get help and The Oaks was there. The men there really care about each other and you. They would come and teach us classes in regards to our program and made us feel like we were not alone! Even now they reach out. After 4 months of rehab I left and came home. Had it not been for The Oaks, the program of my recovery, my God I would not have over 600 days of sobriety, I wouldn’t be a mom, wife, sister, aunt, daughter again. I’m blessed and humbled to know these men on their journey to help others with this disease.
As a mother of a daughter that went through and graduated from their program, I am eternally grateful to Oaks Recovery Center. They are a Community of caring and knowledgeable individuals who give their heart and soul to their clients but also take time speaking with family members, answering our many questions. With their help and guidance she now has almost 2 years clean and sober and fulltime employment. Thank you Oaks Recovery Center. Shari G.
My name is Chris Sojourner. My experience at Oaks Recovery Center was a great blessing. The ownership and management allowed me to set up a payment plan going in while I was struggling financially and I was able to gather tools and experience to prosper in recovery from alcoholism and other drug addictions.
Oaks Recovery is an incredible place, and I highly recommend. Grateful for the hardworking and caring folks at Oaks. They are helping so many lives, and bringing families back together. Thank you for all you do, Oaks Recovery!
Such a great place! Wouldn’t recommend another place! Love the staff and the direction of the program

I arrived at Oaks Recovery center in September of 2016. Prior to coming to the Oaks, I had multiple failed attempts at sobriety. I was broken and discouraged but it quickly became evident that this place was different than any place I had been to before. For starters, the Staff is terrific. They weren't just "techs" like I had become accustomed to at other centers, but they served as educators and mentors. For the first time, I was taught to understand the 12 Steps of A.A as well as the disease of addiction.
Not only was I educated on addiction at the Oaks, but I was taught to be an adult. Staff at the Oaks helped me find a job in Greenwood and almost 2 years later I'm still employed by the same company ( and sober by the way!). Words cannot express the amount of gratitude I have for Oaks Recovery Center!
Great place for learning the truth about addiction. A very different presentation of the solution by other recovered addicts. And the fellowship is amazing.
