Nuci’s Space is essential for our community- not only in Athens GA, but any and every where it can reach. I’ve been involved since 2010- volunteering, interning, etc. In high school (2011-2012), I did Camp Amped and it changed my life in such a positive way. I still think about the things I learned- not just the musical parts, but the mental health and compassion elements- to this day. This non profit deserves everything!! I can’t adequately convey how great of an organization this is!!
I’ve used the practice space many times and used Nuçi’s studio for two albums! The staff are friendly and accommodating. It’s a welcoming space. I personally know people who have gotten counseling and help through Nuçi’s. Here’s a video my band made there: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Wdne5gJFrbQ
Nuci’s Space saved my life. It’s possible I was their first client, because they referred me to a counselor before they had even officially opened. I was in the worst mental state of my life & quite volatile, yet their staff was patient & kind to me. Music therapy is amazingly effective, and I recommend it to anyone even if they are learning to play an instrument for the first time in their lives. Their practice spaces & equipment rentals are very affordable. I will be forever grateful to Linda Phillips and her amazing staff.
Nuci's Space is the best, most welcoming place in Athens, hands-down. All of the staff and other volunteers are some of the most genuine, caring, and hard-working people I have ever met. I know that I can go in and have a meaningful conversation anytime. They work constantly to make Athens a better place by helping individuals, working to prevent suicide and reduce the stigma of mental illness, and fostering the music community with practice rooms and performance area. Each time I am there or around any of the staff/volunteers, I walk away feeling so loved! They are all so amazing and I can't say enough positive things about them and the organization.

Nuci's Space is awesome! Actually awesome is a huge understatement because what they do as an organization is so much more than can be described by that simple term. As a transfer student coming to UGA a few years ago I was looking for opportunities to get involved and help out the local community and its safe to say that Nuci's Space was one of the best opportunities I could have gotten myself into. This organization exudes a welcoming, loving, caring, and supportive community inside it's walls and out. You can tell that each person from volunteers to staff to board members that every person puts so much love, care, and hard work into what they do no matter how big or small the task. They live out the mission of Nuci's spaces so well by helping people, raising awareness for, and educating people about suicide prevention, and mental illness which is a topic so important to so many people. Nuci's Space has been a community that I have been SO thankful to be a part of and share in from a volunteer, to an intern, to an event co-coordinator and I am so grateful for the knowledge, experience, and joy that I have had there. I only have good things to say about Nuci's Space and I'm pretty sure if you experienced it yourself, you would say the same thing too!

I am a newly relocated disabled veteran and a fellow musician as well. I have been to Nuci's Space once and I talked to some people there about doing my community service there.
I even called there 3 different times to talk to a head person to be blown off like I'm a nobody,
To me this is no way to treat a veteran who served this country for their freedom. I'm not to happy with this company and the attitude of the Head person either. I rate them a 0
My teenage son was a transplant to the area and had no interest in anything. Nuci's Space changed that at this most crucial point in his life. He now can see a future in music. Thank you so much.
My child has been a Camp Amped camper for 6 years now. Without the presence of Nuci's Space and Camp Amped there's a high likelihood that my kid would not be alive right now, as they have facilitated crisis counseling for her during several periods when she was deeply depressed and struggling to find footing in her life. They have offered constant support and intervention, both emotionally and with help paying for counselors as we labored to find our way through a truly complex maze of mental health issues. I have often said that every city with any interest in the arts needs to have an oasis of support like Nuci's.
