LIARS!!! TRIED TO CAUSE DRAMA WITH MY DAUGHTER AND HER FAMILY!! JUST MADE STUFF UP! THIS IS A FACILITY THAT YOU CAN SIGN YOURSELF IN AND OUT OF. ONE ONE OF THE EMPLOYEES TOLD HER THAT I OFFERED TO PAY ALL THE EMPLOYEES $20 IF THEY WOULD STOP HER FROM SIGNING HERSELF OUT!!! COMPLETE LIE!!! I had talked my daughter into going in this program to detox and then they were supposed to send her to a rehab. A very concerned friend of hers called me and told me she was afraid my daughter may sign herself out and kill herself. I called Northwood because I thought there was a way that if she is a danger to herself they could not let her sign herself out. They told me that there was nothing like that bc this place was voluntary only. I was upset. I didn't believe them. I did get angry and told them that if she signs out and kills herself after I called them and warned them I'll try to get them fired and that I would be calling management on Monday morning. That was probably wrong of me. So the employee I talked to ran around to the other employees and told them how I was offering all of them $20 if they wouldn't let her leave. Complete lie. Me being upset was something for them to gossip about and the girl I spoke with thought she'd make the gossip "spicier" if she added that in. For one, my husband and I own 5 gas wells. If I was going to pay someone in hope they could help me save her life I'd offer a lot more than $20! Heck I pay my house keeper $120 a week. Nobody does anything for $20. So, after I got mad and told the girl I was talking to that I was calling her boss on Monday I thought I need to find out if what she said is in fact true. So, I called the Weirton crisis unit. I spoke with an employee there about what the protocol is in a situation like that. She told me the patients are there on a volunteer basis and they could not stop her from signing out just like Wheeling office told me. She was very helpful and told me that if I was afraid my daughter would kill herself that there is a process I can do to get her held in a different facility for 48 hours while they do a mental health awareness check on her or something. Wheeling never gave me that information. Regardless, the lady in Weirton I spoke with was very pleasant and we had an adult conversation. But whoever these young girls are at the crisis unit in Wheeling seem to be drama seekers. And why would they try to cause my daughter to have trouble with someone that supports her? Horrible drama queen seeking attention employees!!! Horrible! Anyway my daughter did end up signing herself out the next day. She said because they wouldn't turn in her applications for the rehabs so that she could be transferred to a rehab when she left detox instead of going back on the street to the temptation of drugs. She didn't have a computer or fax machine to do those things so she relied on the employees to do that. Which, I think may be their job. But they wouldn't so she left there so she could get to a computer and means of communication so she could get herself admitted into a rehab. She said every time she asked them if they had submitted her paperwork yet or if the rehab had emailed back they would scream at her. Ridiculous!!! My daughter signed out of there and was shooting heroin back in her veins within hours of her leaving. How much help do you think she got there?
