My girlfriend and I have enjoyed riding from Edmonds, WA up to Burlington on nice days. We always check the electronic sign on The NOAH Center to see what they need so we can stop by with a donation and usually some food. We love to come in and see all the animals. Everything is always so clean and the animals, even though they are in a shelter, seem happy and well cared for. We are so grateful for The NOAH Center and the work they do. They're such an awesome member of the community and recently I learned they work with other shelters across the country to make sure they don't get overcrowded and have to euthanize for space. Such a great place.
I adopted Lyra August 2022 and I love The NOAH Center! Every part of the process was such a good experience! I love how all the animal suites are so clean and large! Every animal is so loved and well taken care of! Also the adoption process was so smooth and the matchmakers are so nice! They were great to work with! I will always rescue and I’m excited to find more family members at The NOAH Center!
The NOAH Center was a huge help in finding the perfect dog for our family. We took Goose home, and we are all living happily ever after.
I love to hear the incredible stories my daughter tells me about The NOAH Center's work. She loves to work there and help the animals. They bring the animals in from all over the country including Hawaii to help other shelters with overcrowding. Their mission is to prevent the euthanasia of healthy, adoptable dogs and cats. When there is a disaster for example a hurricane or the fires in Maui, they take what she calls the old timers from the shelter so they can bring in lost or injured animals. They are building a new, bigger spay and neuter clinic because they have been doing double the number since COVID and they need more room. They help low-income people get their animals spayed or neutered to control the pet population. They have a special program called Mom's Last Litter that spays the mom and then they take care of spaying and neutering all the babies and get them in homes. It's such a great resource for the community. I greatly appreciate the great work they do.
Certainly! Here’s a draft for a five-star review of The NOAH Center:
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I cannot speak highly enough of The NOAH Center and the incredible work they do for animals in need. Their commitment to saving lives is nothing short of extraordinary.
The NOAH Center stands out with its operation of one of the largest spay/neuter surgical centers in Washington State. This unique feature allows them to provide essential services that prevent pet overpopulation and promote responsible pet ownership. The center's top-notch surgical facilities and highly skilled staff further enhance its significance, ensuring the well-being of every animal it treats.
What really sets The NOAH Center apart is its compassionate approach. From the moment you interact with their team, you can feel their genuine care and dedication. They go above and beyond to provide a safe haven for animals and offer them a second chance at life.
I adopted a bonded pair of cats from NOAH 8 years ago. Two years ago I began volunteering. Both of my son’s and several friends have also adopted pets. Their spay and neuter program helps so many people afford to fix their pets. An amazing organization working hard to give homeless animals a chance at a healthy life.
2 years ago I had seen 2 lynx color-point Siamese cats through their website at N.O.A.H. and I was blessed when I could finally go in and see them and they were still available. I adopted them with one of their associates in a very professional manner and no one could love these cats more than us!
We adopted our two kittens from the NOAH shelter in July 2024. We have 3 children and 2 dogs in our household, and because of the NOAH shelter and their fosters, we have had a seamless transition.
Our kittens are so well adjusted, that they made themselves comfortable in our life and seem to be happy and content. I think this is a testament to the work this shelter puts into educating its foster assistance and I am very grateful for our newest additions.
This nonprofit sets the bar for all of the other rescue organizations we work with across the country. Every person we have dealt with is kind, responsive, helpful and delivers. We have been able to send 20 puppies over the last 8 months from our Texas based rescue to the folks at The Noah Center and all have found incredible, loving homes.
I'm always so impressed with how clean the facility is and how happy the animals are. You can tell that all the employees and volunteers are there for the right reasons. I visit The NOAH Center at least twice per month to see the animals and give a donation to this exemplary nonprofit!
I had been thinking about adopting a dog for some time and had visited both the Whatcom and Noah shelters. I preferred getting a puppy so I could train it from the beginning. I found a puppy at Whatcom's
shelter, but it was adopted when I returned to fill out the application. In mid-September I was visiting the Noah Center and had thought I had seen all the dogs that day but noticed a very tiny puppy sleeping at the front viewing window as I was leaving the center.
Sara, operation manager at Noah approached me and asked if I had any questions about this little creature they had named Wesley. She said she had fostered him and that he came from Texas with his mother and 2 siblings. She retrieved him from the glass cubicle and asked if I wanted to hold him, which I did and immediately had good feelings about him. When I told Sara that I wanted to adopt Wesley, can I say, she was very emotionally pleased. That showed me the people at Noah really cared about the animals under their care and protection. I thanked her for introducing Wesley to me, as it was one of those moments in time that may have been missed by me.
Since taking Wesley home and getting to know his character and habits, it has been nothing short of a blessing for me. What a perfect dog he is! Potty trained in just 2 days, comfortable in his crate, sleeps thru the night with me, knows Sit and Stay and Come and likes to fetch without any training. I have let him off leash at trails and he doesn't bolt. He has no fear of bigger dogs and loves his chewie toys. We went to his first puppy class last week and that was all good. His name is now "Benito" aka Benny.
More important than how smart and well behaved he is, Benito and I have bonded quickly. He is a great emotional support for me, as I am for him. I take him everywhere I go, including work. There's something about a dog's unconditional love that brings joy and calmness to the one they are around. I feel blessed to have him in my life.
I want to thank Noah for finding and connecting these deserving creatures with their families. I especially want to thank Sara for introducing me to Benito. Had she not, I would not be enjoying such an amazing companion. Keep doing what you're doing.
The staff at Noah do an amazing job at caring for every animal and keeping the facility clean and inviting! Noah also runs an amazing spay and neuter clinic that has helped thousands of families. Over the years I have adopted two cats and one very loved German Shepard.
All my experiences with NOAH have shown what a caring, responsible organization they are. I've been volunteering for them for two years, and seen first hand how they help so many animals and families. All of their staff I've interacted with have been wonderful. Randy their transport coordinator deserves special mention for his compassion and professionalism. I've volunteered for many organizations across the US over the years and NOAH is one of the best of the best.
We have adopted several cats from NOAH and love the care they provide to all the fur babies needing a forever home. 4 years ago we went to adopt a Jeffrey and came home with a Kevin. Kevin lives up to his name or likes us saying it repeatedly. The adoption process was so easy and professional. I have also participated in several auctions and love the items I won,
I loved the center and its staff! It was very clean, welcoming and simple to adopt a little furry face (sorry, found the best rescue cat ever!). Just before adding her to our family, we lost our first kitty that we rescued ourselves. We had to pay so much more with our late cat's vaccinations and initial care than our new cat from the Noah center, which confirms for us that they really are trying to save those animals, not just focusing on making profit. I highly recommend that gem of a place and their amazing staff!
They did a great job of neutering and vaccinating a feral cat I trapped. The neuter was free and vaccines were very inexpensive. This program helped get a homeless cat altered so it wouldn’t be contributing to the pet overpopulation. This is a picture of the cat who warmed up to us and lived a healthy life for 10 years. His name was Pitch.
I have adopted 2 cats from NOAH. Fantastic experience both times!!
Wonderful Staff. Very caring of the animals. The staff makes everyone feel welcome.
They are very excited to make a good match for the dog or cat, considering the pets personality and the adopters lifestyle and expectations.
Spay/Neuter services are of very high quality.
I recommend them to everyone that is considering having their pet spay/neutered or looking to adopt.
NOAH is the best place I have ever volunteered. Both the animals and the people are so FUN!!

In 2017 we made the decision to adopt an older bonded pair of Chihuahuas with the names of Pinky and the Brain. I had been looking at the website for a number of weeks and we decided to visit NOAH if they were still available after we returned from a trip. It was December and they were dressed in adorable costumes - Pinky was in a little reindeer outfit and Brainy was in a Santa outfit! Of course, we ended up adopting them -how could we resist! The individuals we dealt with were outstanding and it was obvious that they truly care about the animals and are on a mission to find the perfect home for each pet in their care. We lost our sweet boy Brainy this year but will continue to support Noah in his memory!
I have volunteered for NOAH for five years as a dog walker and foster parent. I've seen firsthand NOAH's incredible commitment to saving the lives of thousands and thousands of dogs and cats during my tenure. Having volunteered for many other wonderful pet charities in the past, I am deeply impressed with NOAH's amazing efforts to make their animals' time at NOAH fun and calm.
Great, caring staff and volunteers. Suites are perfect for the comfort of the cats and dogs which are well cared for by everyone. Very fun, fast paced environment!
I fell in love in 10 seconds! After visiting with many of Noah's kitties, I met Sherman, who reached out to me with his paw through his hutch in the recovery room. I am so grateful for Noah's gentle and knowledgeable team for such a wonderful experience.
I am a volunteer and have adopted a puppy from NOAH. The team is amazing and really goes above and beyond for their animal friends, it’s evident that everyone really cares about their well-being. Our puppy is the sweetest addition to our family and the NOAH team helped to coordinate her adoption so that we could find what we were looking for. All around amazing team and I’m proud to volunteer with them.
I've adopted most of my animals here. I've always had Noah spay and nurtured my cats and dogs. Last yr I adopted 3 kittens from here. I have now 7 cats and 1 dog. We've all adapted to each other and now have a nice family. Noah is the only place I would adopted animals and get them fixed. It's a nice facility and the people that volunteer there time there are wonderful to work with. Thank you Noah.
We had just lost our fur-baby of 13 years. She left a huge paw shaped hole in our lives so our daughter and her hubbie bought us another fur-baby to enrich our lives. The people at NOAH are amazing. We fell in love with (now Navi) as soon as we met her. I think her NOAH name was drizzle. Noah is very clean and organized and its obvious they love animals. Navi is completely happy and just loves the new grandbaby. (2wks apart). I couldn't reccomend NOAH highly enough.
I adopted two cats eight years ago so I’m a client as well as an annual donor. It was a great experience and my 10 week old kitties grew into beautiful cats!
Not your average Animal shelter.
This shelter rescues from all over the country and finds them good homes here in WA.
Both of our dogs are NOAH dogs. When the time comes, they are choice #1 for us to go to, despite being an hour drive.
Best day and neuter clinic around! The cat adoption center is open and beautiful and the dogs all have runs and seem happier than in a kennel setting. I would say this is the number one organization for animals in western Washington
We just adopted our second dog from NOAH and my kids and I volunteer there weekly. The staff has amazing hearts for animals and do the absolute best they can to find the perfect match for each pet. The love and care that is shown at this facility is unmatched!! These are our two adopted family members. Ella and Christopher. Christopher was adopted 11 years ago and Ella a week ago! No better place to find your new family member.
NOAH is a vital animal rescue agency. I live in a remote part of Washington State and we have a monumental challenge with our feral cat population. NOAH has been instrumental in helping us find homes for the adoptable strays. If it weren't for them, many of these cats and kittens would have died or worse, died a slow painful death.
A building full of truly caring staff who strive every day to find the perfect homes for all the pets in their care. Lovely building in a beautiful spot.
I haven't had the opportunity to adopt from NOAH but I truly believe they are amazing and they make such a big impact helping care for the animals in need.
Having worked there for over a decade, I know that the animals’ well being is their top priority. I love their mission and support their efforts 100%! Attached is one of the dogs I adopted during my tenure. He was born at my house (I fostered as well) and never left
I have been a volunteer at The Noah Center for three years. The staff is so caring about each animal that comes through their doors. They work very hard to find the perfect family for each dog and cat that gets adopted. I adopted a puppy from them in 2021 and she has been a great fit for our family.
I haven't personally adopted a furbaby from Noah. At this time I am not setup to have one. I do donate when I can. I am however aware of all they do. They do not only save and take in local animals they save them from all over the country. They truly care about their well being and I commend them for that. When I am situated to adopt Noah is the first place I'll look.
I have had the chance to visit, with my daughter Kristina, NOAH and their animal rescue center. The center is so well run and the level of care and attention to each animal resident is remarkable and heartwarming. I have visited rescue center locations before but this site stands alone in it's excellent staffing staffing, cleanliness and genuine caring for the survival and lives of each animal that resides there.

NOAH was the place I went to adopt my third kitty after I lost my second to FIP. I went there with the intentions of adopting one kitty, but was drawn to another after arriving. I love that cats have the opportunity to not spend 24 hours a day in a cramped, terrifying cage - it’s clearly a healthier and happier existence for the animals, but I feel like it also helps adopters see their personalities better…which is why I was attracted to Dexter (formerly Buddy after Atreyu after Bob (or something similar)) - the poor cat had been returned three times! However, he had a playful, active energy even at 6-8 (they weren’t sure how old he was), which, again, I was able to see because he was allowed to be a cat outside of a cage. The staff were incredibly helpful answering questions and were always around but provided plenty of space to allow you to truly meet each of the animals. Also, watching the staff and volunteers interact with both the cats and dogs, it was clear that each was cared for and that everyone on-site was truly invested and was 100% focused on the best interest of the residents. I love what NOAH does and it is why I continue to support them, even if my heart isn’t ready to adopt again yet.
NOAH helped us to adopt our dog Thor nearly 9 years ago now. He's been a great and loyal friend for all these years and we have many great memories... all thanks to the NOAH Shelter. Their kind staff are very knowledgeable and helpful. You can tell that they really do care about finding good homes for every cat and dog that comes to them.
Thank you NOAH! Keep up the good work.
I first started volunteering last summer when I was out of work due to COVID and needed to get out of the house. I started helping in the fundraising and marketing department and felt at home right away. A job opportunity opened up and I was hired to do the very same job I was learning while being a volunteer! Everyone has been so friendly and welcoming. I could tell from day one that everyone's priorities were the health and happiness of the animals. I'm very proud to tell people I work here. Everyone always has something nice to say when I tell them. I can't wait until I'm able to adopt a dog. They will definitely come from The NOAH Center!
I have been volunteering at NOAH and they do such a great job taking care of animals in need and finding homes for homeless animals!
They also offer low cost spay and neuter services for the community!
Friendly, clean and everything you want to find in an animal welfare organization!
I love NOAH! I’ve worked with NOAH as a volunteer and foster, on and off over the last several years, and they are awesome! Great facility, caring staff, and dedicated volunteers! I’ve adopted 2 dogs and 1 cat from them, they were helpful and thorough!
Such a cool place! I’ve gotten two cats from NOAH and I love the responsible adopting procedures they have in place. They truly care about the animals and want the best placement for them. And everyone I’ve encountered there has been so nice and helpful!
One of the best organizations out there! I have adopted many kitties, used their spaying services and even volunteered! The dedication and care they have for cats and dogs is so impressive! They have the best staff, the best care, and the best community outreach I have ever seen. I love N.O.A.H!!
I volunteered in lots of different positions at the shelter. Foster care assistant, cat kennel tech, dog walker, laundry, volunteer director assistant, almost all volunteer positions possible! Every single one was an awesome experience to volunteer in. I’m not physically able to do tons of stuff, but at NOAH I always felt like I was. There’s such a spirit of passion and love for the animals that it fills you with this amazing adrenaline. Everyone truly cares about the animals, and it’s obvious. I was there for seven years I don’t regret a single second. They do amazing things for the animals, for the community, and for other shelters across the states! The money donated really does serve the animals!! I could go on about how awesome NOAH is for ages.
We have adopted two dogs from this amazing organization and are so thankful to them. Noah has saved the lives of so many animals from all over the country! They truly want to match the animals with great people who will provide loving homes and do not make it as unattainable as some other organizations do. I will be a loyal supporter always and recommend them to anyone looking to open their home to a dog or cat.
I've been proud to support The NOAH Center for years. They're doing such great work for the community and I love seeing what they're doing on their Facebook page. 10/10 would recommend.
NOAH has done such good things for the local animals including adoptions, low cost spay/neuters, vaccines, etc. So happy they do free feral spay/neuters supporting us local TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) folks trying to stabilize the community cat population. I volunteer as a kitten foster home for their Foster Program and love it.
