Causes: Human Services
Mission: To enhance our community by providing supportive social services, education and empowerment which foster personal responsibility for those who are vulnerable or in crisis.
Results: When individuals, families, veterans and unaccompanied youth are in housing crisis or find themselves food insecure, they turn to Northwest Compass. Our neighbors know that they'll be treated with respect and dignity by dedicated and compassionate professionals in a warm, caring environment. We love our community and we are proud to show our love by helping our neighbors in need navigate through crisis, achieve stability and regain hope!

Programs: Northwest Compass' programs strive to positively impact the lives of our clients by providing an array of services in three major categories -- Stabilization, Empowerment and Housing. Northwest Compass provides comprehensive solution focused case management, counseling and assistance to people experiencing food and housing instability or homelessness by connecting them to housing options, resources and various supportive services. These include access to our in-house food pantry, linkage to mainstream benefits, career coaching and job readiness assistance, money management, life skills, legal assistance and more. The Housing Program consists of Street Outreach, Transitional Living program, Permanent Supportive Housing Program, Youth Demonstration Housing Project, Housing counseling and homeless diversion and prevention, and immediate short-term assistance to prevent individuals and families at risk of becoming homeless for the first time or to assist them to exit homelessness. Most of the programs include assessment, wrap around services and care coordination in order to provide the needed assistance and support, so people can make better informed choices and build a foundation toward creating a stable and sustainable future.
