Mission: The agencys mission is to end sexual violence, promote individual responsibiolity and empower victims/surviors by providing crisis intervention, and counseling services, advocating for victims/urvivors in the medial and criminal justice systems, promote social change through education and prevention programs and reaching out to victims/survivors
Programs: Counseling---client centered counseling is available to all sexual violence survivors, their families and their significan others. The counseling is designed to provide emotional support to help clients refasin a sense of control over their lives by participoating in individual, couples and family or group services
advocacy--the agency provides a hotline that is available to callers 24 hours daily, 7 days weekly. Services include telephone crisis intervention and in person advocacy at the hospital emergency room, police departments and court proceedings.
prevention in schools--various prevention programs are available for children in pre-school to high school. Topics covered include personal safety, conflict resolution, sexual harassment, risk reduction, dispelling sexual assault myths and our clothesline project. Community education information and presentations are available to community groups, colleges and agencies. Topics may include rape trauma syndrome, child sexual assault prevention, date rape drugs and social myths among others.
