I am incredibly grateful to be a part of the Northwest Animal Companions family as a foster parent for cats and kittens. This rescue goes above and beyond for each animal in their care, demonstrating a level of commitment and compassion that truly sets them apart.

Northwest Animal Companions has been a beacon of hope for countless cats and kittens in need. Their dedication to rescuing these furry friends is evident in the countless lives they've touched and transformed. It's heartwarming to see an organization that not only talks the talk but walks the walk in the realm of animal welfare.

What impresses me the most is their unwavering support for their foster families. They recognize and appreciate the crucial role foster parents play in the journey towards finding forever homes for these animals. The support system they've created fosters a collaborative and positive environment, making it a joy to be part of the Northwest Animal Companions team.

Collaboration is key in the world of animal rescue, and Northwest Animal Companions truly excels in this aspect. Their partnerships with other rescues and county shelters showcase a commitment to a united front in addressing the challenges faced by our furry friends.

As a foster for Northwest Animal Companions, I have experienced firsthand the impact of our collective efforts. It's a privilege to be part of an organization that not only talks about making a difference but actively engages in meaningful work. Northwest Animal Companions is not just a rescue; it's a community of dedicated individuals working together to create a better world for our feline friends.

If you're considering getting involved with or supporting an animal rescue, I wholeheartedly recommend Northwest Animal Companions. Their passion, dedication, and positive impact on the lives of animals and their foster families are truly commendable.

I have volunteered with NWAC for over 5 years. All donations go directly to the care of the animals. No paid employees or volunteers. All of our Dogs/Cats are in homes waiting for the next journey of their lives.
We try to help as much as we can from food to vet care. We provided our fur babies with loving foster homes, until they are ready for adoption as well as the forever home.
We do food distribution to homeless, in need, fire victims and so much more. Recently we have been able to foster for someone going through transition from an unsafe living environment to a secure one.
We do what we do because we want to make a difference

We recently adopted a young cat, Cricket, from NWAC, after losing our almost 19-year-old kitty Amelia. The entire process was great. Evelyn, the foster mom for Cricket, was accessible and helpful and coordinated the adoption perfectly. Cricket had just weaned a litter of kittens and had to be spayed, and the cost of the spay and needed vaccines was covered by NWAC. Even more, the vet associated with NWAC, Dr. Thompson of Vista Pet Hospital (who BTW has been our cats' vet for years), determined on our followup that Cricket needed her teeth cleaned, and NWAC covered the cost of that also! NWAC apparently has a policy of making sure adopters receive a healthy and "ready to go" pet. It's all been great, and Cricket is adjusting well to her new home, and new big brother Clooney.

My fiancé and I adopted our two beautiful kittens from NWAC earlier this year and we could not have asked for a better, more supportive process. Our kittens were part of a litter impacted by the feline panleukopenia virus--as have several foster litters in the Portland area for the past two years--and we were anxious that our kittens wouldn't make it. With the incredible care, medical intervention, and teamwork, however, NWAC helped our two kittens pull through this virus with flying colors. Big shout out to our kittens' foster mom, Katie, who went above and beyond with keeping us updated with our kittens' health, sending pictures regularly, providing all medical records, and even provided a comprehensive list of recommendations of best toys, food, and other items to purchase before bringing our sweet kittens home. If you are looking to add a furry family member to your household, I cannot recommend NWAC enough, they are truly top-notch.

We adopted two kittens from Northwest Animal Companions in 2021 and can't say enough good things about this group and adoption experience. They so obviously care about the well being of the animals. Our foster was fantastic in guiding us through the process and matching us with the right pets. We adopted a bonded pair of kittens after learning of the many benefits. Amazing! NWAC provided excellent veterinary care until a minor issue was resolved keeping us up to date along the way.
We will continue to support this organization and highly recommend adoption through NWAC. A terrific experience and MUCH appreciation to the dedicated fosters!
