Mission: To revitalize the asylum hill community area in hartford. Ct by providing afforable housing opprtunities for very low, low and moderate income families and individuals, by fostering and developing economic opportunities within the area and otherwise combating community deterioration.
Programs: Blighted properties in the neighborhood (including some which have been vacant for over ten years) have been restored for homeownership by nina utilizing local contractors thereby fulfilling nina's mission to: (1) combat community deterioration; (2) provide affordable housing opportunities; and (3) develop economic opportunities for local residents.
