The plot of land that had one been a garden at the back of the parking lot at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel, Montclair had lain fallow and full of weeds for years. José German and his Northeast Earth Coalition volunteers turned it into a highly producing garden in just two years (including during the pandemic!) that supplies an amazing abundance of organic produce for local soup kitchens.
