Causes: Community & Neighborhood Development, Economic Development
Mission: To lessen neighborhood tensions, combat community deterioration and juvenile delinquency and perform social work among and on behalf of the community.
Programs: Housing and construction programs focus on: 1)providing training to adjudicated young people in the construction trades building new homes. We help the participants acquire their ged and certifications needed to work in specialized areas of the construction trades. 2) the milwaukee builds area works with young people to acquire specialized skills in the construction trades by rehabilitating properties. The program offers the participants a fresh start while giving the community we serve a fresh look, combating community deterioration.
