Mission: The Mission of North Shore Senior Center is to foster the independence and well-being of older adults, enhance their dignity and self respect, and promote their participation in and contribution toward all aspects of community life.
Programs: Professional counseling - incorporates mental health services through individual and group therapy, case management, and supervision of friendly visiting, volunteer driving, and escort services.
group adult service - offers scheduled opportunities for education, socializing, sports, culture, art, music, etc. Also included are field trips to concerts and theaters.
comprehensive care - provides a variety of one-on-one services such as health screening and assistance with rebate programs, property tax, income tax, budgeting, and insurance.
-community education - raises awareness and promotes learning for various issues involving and affecting seniors -adult day care - offers persons with memory loss from alzheimer's disease and other related dementias structured, therapeutic, small-group activities in a comfortable, home-like setting. Participants with early, as well as more advanced, memory loss enjoy meaningful activities and friendships, while caregivers benefit from time on their own. 59,917 hours of service have been provided. -government fee-for-service funding (expenses for same grouped into the respective programs already listed)
