Mission: North coast opportunities develops and provides services that strengthen our communities, one person at a time.
Programs: Child care: provides subsidized child care payments to low-income working families, manages a food and nutrition program for children in family day care, provides resource & referral services to all families within the service area, provides training and support to licensed family day care homes, provides training to child care providers. Approximately 3,200 children receive subsidized child care services.
head start child development program: provides educational and support services to very low-income families with children ages 0-5. Approximately 420 children are served each year.
community action/csbg programs: even though the program has the smallest budget, it is the key component of nco. The program works with other programs and agencies to help low-income people rise out of poverty and become more self-sufficient.
