Having a rough patch after losing my job at the dealership. It's been hard to make ends meet. I called north carolina poverty coalition. They helped by giving my girlfriend and i food to eat for the past two weeks that we appreciate. It has helped us while I seek a new job. My girlfriend is a daycare worker and we are scraping by. The food that we are given has gone a long way in helping us out.
2nd time donating this year. Two young men arrived yesterday for my mint condition washer and dryer set. Very professional and hospitable. I Recommend donating to them.
Donated a truck and trailer load of tools and household items this weekend.
Great team picked up. They were in and out in no time. I'm happy to clear out the clutter. Thank you ncpc
Everybody should support this charity. They help senior citizens, new mothers, disaster victims and low income. They have a weekly food pantry. Theres nobody getting paid and all volunteers. It's a good cause. I frequent their thrift store to support them.
My wife and I were expecting a baby. North Carolina Poverty Coalition gave me a case of diapers and baby formula. Plus a care package with pacifiers, a bottle, nipples, wet wipes, baby lotion and other things that we could use. I love this place.
When my family lost our home to a fire in 2014 this charity gave my entire family 8 pieces of clothing per person for all 5 of us at no cost, supplied us with a couch, sofa, new beds, blankets, toiletries, plus supplied us with food from their food pantry for several weeks until we could get on our feet and established in a new home
Good service
Wife and i are moving. Closing on our house.
Donated like new furniture to this charity today.
Very pleased. Nice guy picked it up.
Got my tax deductions receipt.
Very pleased. I recommend.
Lost my job. Without nc poverty coalitions food pantry my wife and I would have to choose which bill to pay and which to skip to buy groceries. I pray that God blesses these people for helping me in a hard spot.
I had a great experience. Donated a lot of things to empty out my garage. I spoke on the phone with a gentleman named Jonathan. He came on a Friday and loaded it quickly. I got a tax deduction for my donation. I would use this donation service again and i recommend this group to friends and neighbors.
Lots of meals are packed for distribution on the same day that it is given away with their food pantry, and the meals actually make it to the intended destination, and the intended targets who are the people in the line receiving. It is great to see first hand that the funds raised by the non profit are going towards aiding the community with enormous amounts of food. There are many other non profits that claim to aid people but you never actually see people being helped. For the reason explained I rate north carolina poverty coalition 5 stars.
I have donated household items to this non profit three times over the course of two years and have nothing but good things to say about it. In addition i donate ten dollars thru paypalgivingfund each month . I am not physically able to do the good work that they do. So it is the least that I can do to support the guys and girls who can.
I am in the military and was being stationed overseas so I had many items that I was not capable of taking with me. I scheduled an appointment to pick up furniture and various other items from my home. I received a call to schedule the appointment within minutes. The following day they were right on time. Two friendly faces came and picked up my stuff. I have no complaints and I am glad that it all went to a good cause.
Called to schedule a pickup to give away like new furniture to get out of a house a few days before closing (selling). They scheduled for a Friday 3pm. I drove an hour to be at the house, had everything in one room ready to go, called the day before to confirm (no one called back), sat for 2 hours waiting and no one every showed. I called twice after that fact and no one answered, no one called back, no one did anything! I would never recommend this place simply because they wasted valuable time, never contacted me ever again and we had to hire someone else to move the furniture! I learned a valuable lesson....don't waste time on giving this place something for free. Don't offer the service if you are not going to follow through.
Full time single widowed working mother of 3. This charity has helped me keep food in the house every week to feed my family and is always there when my growing kids are in need of clothes. I dont know what i would do without them.
My husband had lost his job last year and we called this charity to ask for help. The person on the phone was very kind. They gave us groceries every month for 3 months to help us get through this hard time along with supplying school clothes for my 5 year old son free of charge. Thank God for organizations like this who will help you when you need it.
