Causes: Adult Education, Education

Mission: The mission of navbo is to promote the study of vascular biology. The purpose of the society is to provide a forum whereby members disseminate and share knowledge related to the scientific field of vascular biology, to ensure the translation of knowledge from basic science to clinical practice. Navbo supports and organizes meetings and workshops, and maintains this website linking the vascular biology community.

Programs: Member services: member dues are collected enabling the society to provide members with an annual newsletter, a bi-weekly electronic newsletter, a monthly publications alert, and a web site. In addition to these services, membership dues cover all operational expenses not associated with a program including but not limited to committee expenses, accounting, office supplies, etc.

annual meeting: navbo workshops at vascular biology 2017: the organization brings together scientists to network on the diverse subspecialties within the area of vascular biology including technologies, basic science research and translational science. The areas/subspecialties covered in 2017 were developmental vascular biology and genetics, and vascular matrix biology and bioengineering.

vasculata: a summer course that promotes the study of vascular biology. It is designed to present an overview of the field and future areas ofactive research. Individuals with little or no background in vascularbiology are encouraged to attend, and current trainees in the field andall interested individuals are invited to participate. This meeting isheld at a university and includes hands-on lab experiences. In 2017, vasculata was held at the university of illinois at chicago. Lymphatic forum co-sponsorship of a meeting that will meet every two years; organized and co-sponsored by a university with the lymphatic educational and research network (le&rn). The meeting focuses on the lymphatic system, biology, basic science and clinical applications. In 2017, the meeting was held at and sponsored by northwestern university
