Mission: Youth training & scientific research
Programs: The program provides naval and scientific training to youth between the ages of 12 and 18. There were approximately 40 cadets enrolled in the program during the time period covered by this return, these cadets were provided with approximately 25 days of ship board training and the opportunity for additional residential training with th united states navel sea cadet corps. These cadets were also trained in basic environmental science and took part in research assignments.
the michigan coastal program conducts environmental research and documentary filming aboard the ship on the great lakes.
the washington nccc program offers cadets navel and environmental scientific training for the preparation of coastal ship travel and research.
