I am Muzhgan Kharoti, in the Attorney General of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan,My job is to deal with various crimes such as kidnapping, murder, drug trafficking, terrorism against domestic and foreign security, prevention of violence against women and other criminals. In 2018, I was appointed as a prosecutor by the Attorney General of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan. I am a member of the Afghanistan Attorneys Association and I am also a member of the International Attorneys Association
The Taliban released all the prisoners as soon as they arrived in Afghanistan. They are threatening to kill me and my family and I spend my days and nights in different places to save my life. I was a law enforcer and prosecutor in the previous government and was involved in the trial of many terrorists. The militants want to take revenge on me, so far I have knocked on the doors of many countries for humanitarian visas and no one has given me a positive answer. I hope you will save me and my family's life by opening a new humanitarian visa corridor for me

I used to be a Cyber Security Engineer worked on behalf of the US. Government in Afghanistan for many years. After the US. troops withdrawal, my life was at great risk because my identity was already exposed to the Taliban. On Aug 15, 2021 when the Afghan Government collapsed, NOLB jumped in to secure the Afghans at-risk and they started sharing very helpful resources for evacuation. I personally was not evacuated by NOLB, but they helped me a lot in the US- provided Air tickets from Islamabad to Seattle as well as rental assistance.
I am truly impressed with the work that the organization (No One Left Behind) is doing. They are managing to meet each commitment in a timely and professionally manner. They are achieving every section of their mission and vision which is truly appreciable. When I applied for their support, it did not take them one day to respond to me and it did not take them one week to fulfill my request which I was very impressed and happy. Their assistance made my life easier here in the United States.

I am a Veteran who is very willing to go to Afghanistan with my team. We have our own equipment and want no money to recover the Americans from Kabul Afghanistan.
I have sent an email, but have not received any response. i have come from afghanistan to the USA through SIV.
Its now 6:00 PM looking the scene of sunset and reminding the days of happy moments of life. I didn’t know that the charming days of my life will soon pass. Offices were full of employees, markets were full of people, rush and crowds everywhere in Kabul. People around me looks weird and i feel like they all hopeless and anxious. No body knows what brings tomorrow but the word optimism diminished and left with darkness. I assisted the US Government mission from last 5 years for the hope that i will raise my family in a country where people give priority to peace. Its been almost a year that i applied for Special Immigrant Visa and still my case is in review with US Embassy. The US evacuated people whose didn’t work for on behalf of the US Government and we all left behind. These difficult days of our lives shall too pass.

These men and women of No One Left Behind are so inspiring in their devotion to honoring their personal - and our government’s- pledge to help those who helped us. I feel this grass roots organization has been standing up from day one for those who partnered with us in Afghanistan. They called attention to the issue when few were doing that. They are playing a positive role in supporting settlement which will be the key in the future.

The first few days after the fall of Kabul, I was sad beyond belief. I have family members who served in the military in Afghanistan. I have a friend who lost his son (Army) in Afghanistan. Our military are so thankful for the Afghan civilians who helped in so many ways in the fight for freedom - risking their lives to do so. They should never have been left behind. All I could think was "how can I help them?". Then a miracle happened. I saw John James (former U. S. Senate candidate and military veteran) on TV. He spoke of No One Left Behind. I sent a check that same day. It gives me so much hope and faith in our country to know that a veteran founded charity like this is there. Ready and able to do the impossible - and honor the military creed of never leaving a brother in arms. You have my continuing support and many prayers of thanks. God Bless you!! A truly fine charity.

My son's interpreter not only bravely fulfilled his commitment to work as an interpreter he also put himself in harm's way multiple times protecting my son and the other soldiers he served with. He arrived in the US under SIV and has become a US citizen. His wife was instructed by the US embassy to come to Kabul and make her way to the airport. She is still an Afghan citizen but has the correct paperwork. She has been trapped in the chaos for 5 days now and is becoming very discouraged. I asked my son, "are _ and his wife worth all of this?" his reply to me was "absolutely" followed by stories and tears. Thank you for keeping up the fight - it is worth it, for the sake of those we made promises to, for the sake of those who protected our sons and daughters, for the sake of the veterans who are now pulled into the middle of this on a minute by minute basis. The cause is worthy!
I know an Afghan family here in New Your State who are trying everything they can to get a brother with his wife and two daughters and their sister out. They are all at the gate with proper paperwork and have been there for many days. No One Left Behind has helped insure that they are on the list to be called to the gate.

During this time when caring American Citizens are in anguish over the situation in Kabul, and especially the danger that our Afghan allies who helped us are in, and feeling extremely helpless to do anything about it, I'm grateful to have found this organization that allows me to at least help some of our Afghan allies who do make it out to be able to have the help they need to start a life here in America. Our government made a promise to these people, and as a citizen, I'm embarrassed and horrified by how our government has handled the U.S. troop withdrawal in Afghanistan which has put wonderful human beings who offered their hospitality and help to our soldiers in danger of being hunted and murdered. We owe our Afghan allies so much, and I'm grateful that I can do something for them.
I am a retired Coast Guard officer who spent 21 years on combined active and reserve service. I watched helplessly as our country abandoned our Vietnamese allies. I learned about NOLB from its internet solicitations and became a donor using both my IRA account and the monthly donation program. Just watching the news and learning that allies such as Germany, France and the UK have gone out and freed their interpreters and their families while our forces are not allowed to leave their compound makes the efforts of NOLB all the more valuable.

Trying to get an Afghan National I worked with during my deployment, and his family, out of Afghanistan before they are murdered by the Taliban. This organization provides evacuation flights to save our allies.
I have been heartsick over the Iraqi and Afghani allies we have abandoned. Thank God I found this organization after hearing Matt Zeller speak. There is something I can do to help save the lives of the Afghanis who put their own lives, and those of their families, at risk to help our soldiers. They trusted us to be honorable. I also fear that the number of suicides by our veterans -- an appalling high number -- will greatly increase if we abandon these people. But, this organization is fighting the good fight and refuses to abandon our allies. How honorable it is to save these innocents from torture and death.
For many years I’ve followed this nonprofit as it worked to bring Afghan interpreters out of harm’s way. These guys have put in HELLA work over the last few days with the Afghanistan airlift situation. I’ve been following the entire thing since it started at the airport and all the guys involved in this charity have been insanely active in the real world and on social media trying to get SIVs and their families safely out. As Kabul fell, like so many others, I watched events unfold with all the reporting, analysis, and interviews. One of the interviews was with former Captain Matt Zeller, a co-founder of 'No None Left Behind.' I listened to him tell his story of how in 2008, his life was saved by his interpreter Janis Shinwari. In 2014, Captain Zeller was able to help get Shinwari to the States. $35,000 was raised to help Shinwari start over. Instead of using that money for himself he used it to help start this organization with Captain Zeller. Upon investigation, on my part, I found that from the Advisory Board, to the Board of Directors, to the Afghans who are heavily involved, that this is an efficient not for profit with one singular purpose in getting those people and their families who helped us out. I wish I was able to do more than just right checks. For me this is very personal. Our involvement starts with the events of September 11, 2001. I was near the World Trade Center when the attacks happened. As an ironworker by my former vocation, I was on site that night. So much is burnt into my memory. Today, I fully understand that as wounded as we were (and still are) by this act of terrorism and mass murder, that the Afghan people suffered greatly as well. If there can be any saving grace from 20 years of well intentions laden with so missteps and political screwups, it's to save the lives of the people that put everything on the line to help us. I am fully confident that like the Vietnamese refugees before them, that they will make good citizens, compatriots, Americans. This is our Dunkirk moment as a nation/ Let's get this right.

Obviously, today's news necessitates the amazing work of NOLB even more, but they've been at it for much longer than the last few weeks. Co-founded by two warriors who experienced and know Afghanistan first-hand, NOLB continues to lead the fight in bringing all our Afghan allies & friends back to the land, where they can live out the freedom they protected overseas. We hope NOLB staff & volunteers know how much they and their work is appreciated...if not now, then certainly 10-20 years from now when the children evacuees grow up & bring their amazing talents to bear in their new country and make it that much stronger...so it can remain vigilant in the future for future threats to the freedom every human being should be free to enjoy in their own way and place.
I am working with a family who has been in hiding for past four years due to threats from Taliban. We have tried multiple pathways through the US immigration services to get them out. Because of the advocacy of your organization and others - this family now has hope they will escape the threats of death. Not a done deal yet but for first time in four years they have hope. They are in Kabul with what looks like approval to be evacuated. The challenge is to get them into the airport - and it is the clarion call from your group to do the right thing, leave no one behind no matter how long it takes, that will make a difference for this family and thousands upon thousands of others who put their lives on the line for us. Years ago when I was mailing care packages to deployed troops a unit posted that they had moved their interpreters and their families into their compound to keep them safe. That haunts me now.

These people are extraordinary! I have been involved for NOLB for a little more than a year. I send $45 every month which isn't much but the letters and phone calls that I get from NOLB personnel - all volunteers who have full-time jobs elsewhere - are unlike the thanks I have ever received from a charity. But I misspeak - this is not a charity; this is our duty. It is what we should be doing to take care of the people who helped us and to keep the promises that we made. We are Americans - how can we fail to do good?

Their work has always been vital and urgent, only now incredibly so since the sudden collapse. They have been the best source of information to pass to allies in Kabul. I watched Matt Zeller’s impassioned interview. As you our men and women of our Arm Forces prove to be honorable Americans. I am praying for you and your friends in Afghanistan. I don’t have room for a family but I have bedding dishes tableware and can get more and can drive anytime anywhere. This is a moral issue for all Americans.
No One Left Behind is working tirelessly to perform an invaluable service on behalf of the Afghans who worked with the US forces, and America MUST fulfill its promise to these phenomenally brave Afghans and their families. My tours were 2004 and 2012 as a Civil Affairs specialist with the US Army. We hired many interpreters (terps) who proved to be both brave and loyal. Our terps were more than 90% Shia and Hazara, so they were already at a disadvantage based on their religious sect and ethnicity. I have no doubt that these brave men, and their families, will face dire consequences for the choice to serve the US and her allies.

I'm a Vietnam veteran. I watched our country abandon the South Vietnamese in 1975. Watching the images coming from Afghanistan is reigniting those old memories. It makes me ashamed of our country. I applaud the efforts of No One Left Behind to help these people that are so deserving out our complete attention and resources right now.
I urge every American to do whatever they can to help this organization help those in need. I'm am so grateful for NOLB efforts to right this terrible wrong.

Not now is the time for all allies of USA to not forget there promises
Many people of Afghanistan have aided the NATO allies which have, for a long time, been present in Afghanistan. Those Afghanis who allied themselves with NATO forces hoped that the alliances would lead to a more secure future, for Afghanis in Afghanistan.
How disheartening, the current events in Afghanistan which produce fear in the Afghani people who committed themselves to aid the western forces there.
For some time, I've been a minor donor to No One Left Behind. The organization is focused on protecting the lives of those who befriended American troops, during a time of war. Our Afghani allies did so at risk to their own lives and to their family's lives.
I didn't know about you or your mission until a few days ago. I heard an interview on public radio. THANK YOU FOR CARING. THANK YOU FOR HELPING. Semper Fidelis!

20 years ago "we" got into the war Pres. Biden is withdrawing us from. "We" got in because of hubris and lack of knowledge. So now somebody has to put an end to the bloody folly that has come to pass. There will be pain and disappointment. "We" are already dealing with the possibility that all of those who helped our soldiers for 20 years won't make it out or will be killed by the Teleban. Well I for one have faith in the ingenuity and ethics of the American people. We will do our very best to help those who helped us.....we must get as many out as possible and in the process learn something about those who insist on sending "us" to war. Knowledge is power and pressure in the appropriate place will save lives and help us repair our tattered honor.
My husband is a veteran of the Cold War. Two of our sons, A daughter in law and two grandsons are veterans. Our middle son served six tours in the Middle East. We support leaving. Even more we support getting as many Afghan allies and terrified refugees OUT by whatever means necessary. Thank you for your efforts. We needed to leave. We need even more to bring our local life supports out.

Keep fighting the good fight. A lot of people know what you are doing and are proud. You are inspiring a lot of action and starting the right conversations. There's so much to be hopeful of right now. You are immensely appreciated and what you are doing is super important!
You are truly heroes. Several years ago as an undergraduate student (circa 2017), the Hamilton College Lacrosse team helped raise money for the NOLB organization by selling green wrist bracelets with the NOLB logo on it. I have worn it every single day for the past 4.5 years to remind myself of what true heroism looks like. It also helps me keep my surface level problems into perspective. The NOLB organization is truly inspirational. The words "thank you" do not suffice.
For weeks I have been trying to figure out how to get - three Afghan families, my former students - out of Afghanistan. No One Left Behind answered my emails instantly and gave me great advice even though my guys weren't military translators. Then they invited me to put them on their evacuation list. This was a great comfort.
Every night Matt Zeller is on TV being one of the few people to tell the truth about this situation. He is moving mountains.
This is an incredible nonprofit that does the work that our government should have: to get our heroes out of Afghanistan. They protected us; now we must protect them. If I thought too much about our government's unconscionable actions, I would be so angry that I could not function. But because there is NOLB, I can focus my attention on a group that is doing God's work in getting our heroes and their families out of harm's way. Please join me in helping them.
This charity is a necessity in our times. Getting the brave men and their families, vitally important as it is, is not where the needs end. The refugees need the aid to get on their feet and that is too often neglected. Thankfully NOLB exists for this purpose. With this help they can get the necessary assistance to help them start their life here. Thank God for the men and women who created and run this charity.
I have no relatives in the military and I know no one from Afghanistan. But to leave behind any Afghans as their country falls to the Taliban, is unconscionable. Especially sickening is the idea of abandoning any Afghanis who helped the US military. These people gave their lives to advance the US cause, yet we now abandon them to their deaths, and the death of their families? This is something we as Americans cannot and should not tolerate.
My translator and I where on the verge of hopelessness when I wrote you recently. Your immediate feedback gave me a whole different set of tools that quickly bore fruit. Today my translator and I found out through the office of my senator that his SIV application cleared USCIS and moved on to NVC. We are very hopeful that he will get the confirmation he needs to head to the airport and evacuate. Please pray for us and thank you so much NOLB for being there for us throughout the entire journey. “Your word is your honor, your integrity. Without honor and integrity, what are you?” This is something I have said to my daughters since they were small. This is something you as an organization seem to carry in your hearts. For that reason I was drawn to your organization from the time I first heard of it.
In the 1980’s and 90’s my American expat family was living in Saudi Arabia. Iraq invaded Kuwait and we were the first real town south of the Kuwaiti border. I know what it was like to frantically try to get our family with 2 young girls out of the country in the coming weeks and months. Yet our danger was nothing compared to the danger these Afghan men and their families face, nor the Americans still in Afghanistan that can’t make it to the airport. We didn’t have the American Embassy on our side when we tried to exit, much like the Afghans not being able to get the necessary green cards and paperwork they need to get out of Afghanistan- and then past the Taliban guarding the gates outside of the airport. Yet, all of you devoted to this mission, “No One Left Behind”, shows me, my grown daughters, and I hope, so many others what ‘honor’ and ‘integrity’ are. They are both attributes that are missing in many, especially in governments. The fact that you ‘fight’ not only for the Americans to be home and safe, but to ensure your Afghan ‘friends and brothers’ and their families are safe; I simply cannot find the words to say how much admiration I have for what you all have done for so many years. Nothing I can do for you would be enough for what your group is doing for these people stranded now in what must seem like panic, hell and the end of the world. I have never understood or endorsed ‘war’ for as long as I can remember; much for the reasons of what happens to those left behind to pick up the pieces, those who feel they lost their souls doing their duty, and those who die trying to do the right thing for their families and countries. Your organization gives me hope.

As an Afghan refugee at the age of 6, I know what it’s like to come to a new country and watch my parent’s start over again. 30 years later I’ve lived the American dream. Didn’t know a word of English in first few months of first grade, and today I’m an Anesthesiologist and so thankful to be here.
I love this organization because it helps when the family lands in America. Coming here is half the battle, surviving the first year is the other.
I see me when I see a little girl living in a one bedroom apartment with parents and a few siblings. I help like others helped us all those years ago.

My wife and I began helping SIV's and their families in 2014 with Hameed and then Rahimullah in 2017. No One Left Behind was just getting started. NOLB came along side five church's military outreach ministries that we combined in a group of volunteers named Northern Virginia Military Ministries. The result was the ability to help even more families. NOLB is a great organization that continues to focus on advocacy and practical support--job search, transportation, furniture, mentoring to individuals, etc. Unfortunately, the public support for SIV's is waning of late but another 4,000 visas have been approved for this year 2020 so it still gives us hope. Hameed now has an associate's degree and has applied for citizenship. He and his family are doing well. Rahimullah's children are doing well in school as well. Sincerely, Bill Shugarts & Margene Sims
PS-Bill served with the U.S. Army's 23rd Infantry Division know as the "Americal" in Vietnam (1969-1970) so knows the value of interpreters having worked with them in Vietnam.

I did not serve, but I have many friends who did. But you don't need to have served to understand the moral obligation we have to save the helpers who made our troop's missions possible, who saved them from deadly situations, and provided critical intelligence on the ground. Don't let America be known as the country who deserts their closest allies in their time of need. Help these veterans get their teams home, regardless of which flag is stamped on their passport.
As a patriotic immigrant cherishing our country’s values, I cannot think of a better way to uphold them at this time than supporting No One Left Behind. We as a country and each of us separately owe a debt of gratitude to those who chose to risk their and their families’ lives for us. It is our time to help them in the dire situation they are in. I am so fortunate NOLB exists to help me and my family do exactly that.
I am a wife, a mom, a teacher. I have 4 children of my own. In 2003 I watched the news in horror as a young Iraqi boy stood in a hole formed by an exploded bomb. He proudly held up a piece of metal with a big smile on his face. The innocence brought tears to my eyes and I thought, "What could I possibly do?" When I met a 15 year old Iraqi boy, I knew. From 2005, we have had literally dozens of Iraqi children and adults, students, professors, interpreters, and military veterans in our home. We were the pioneers helping officers to get their interpreters to safety. We had no organization to lean on in the beginning, so some of us formed our own. Born of our efforts was the SIV. God bless No One Left Behind in their efforts to improve and speed up the process. Keep pushing!
This group does important and difficult work helping the most noble people on the planet. People who helped us and we promised to protect in return. Thank you for helping America keep its promise and doing the right thing in difficult times.
I feel the passion - and compassion - of those of you who were inspired to create No One Left Behind. I feel your passion for good is so strong that it can fuel the world to take action to help those now suffering in Afghanistan as well as those leaving behind their homes. It's hard to imagine from the comfort of my home, how this must feel. My heart goes out to all these people and I pray they are helped and healed and comforted. And my heart is full of thankfulness to all who are helping, Thank you for your great humanitarian work.
NOLB is a magnificent organization. I have made lifelong friends with a family that NOLB assisted as they landed on an SIV from Afghanistan in 2017. They provided compassionate and very needed, tactical assistance with housing, furniture, food, and career and language assistance too. My friends that came from Afghanistan are now employed with great English language skills and both of their beautiful girls are enrolled in school. They definitely would not have been able to achieve all of that as rapidly without NOLB's generous assistance. The team at NOLB is amazing!
When I first saw the circumstance our and their country is now in I - like on 9/11 - wanted to DO something HELP someone.
I was not a teenager on 9/11. I was 41. My mom was in NYC as the towers came down. She borrowed a phone from a mideastern gentleman who was a New Yorker to call me to get her out to my sister in Maine. The only thing running was a limo. I paid them to get her and several others out. They went to Maine by limo.
This is their 9/11. It is 9/11 for us again too.
A few cause chaos and murder and mayhem. All of US need to fix it. We have to. We are all just people.
These are people who helped us fix the damage from the first 9/11 that hurt us. We need to help them now.

They are working without sleep to aid the evacuation efforts from Kabul airport. They were there for the Afghans before this latest horror, aiding Afghans to get out via commercial flights. Afghanistan, for those of us who have been there, is an unforgettable land of mystery and magic, and her noble people need our support.
I thank our American and Afghan friends who work none stop to take off our wartime alliance out of the circumstance which cost lives
Our prayer is always with every body including Army and pilots who are in Kabul Airport in such a hard and painful time, No one left behind members who work very hard to help the mission and AWA TEAM as well and to our friends (Afghans) who are still stacked in Afghanistan
Our President made a grave mistake in the way he exited Afghanistan and further errored when he insulted the Afghani people and simply left hundreds, if not thousands, behind to die at the hands of the Taliban. He also failed to recognize that our national honor is a critical national interest that enables the U.S. to assert both soft and hard power around the globe to better the lives of millions. I for one am thankful that organizations like "No One Left Behind Inc" continue to uphold our national honor and seeks to defend those who seek to be free from tyranny. Tocqueville is often quoted as saying that America is great because America is good. If America ever quits being good, it will not be great. Over thirty years ago, I worked overseas for a Refugee Resettlement Center supporting Vietnamese families. This experience shaped my world view. I am thankful for No One Left Behind because it is our moral obligation to honor our promise to protect Afghan interpreters. There are so many reasons, too many to mention here why this is essential. I wish I could do more and am grateful that this organization can fulfill that mission. I plan to call my congressional representative on behalf of this organization and for the Afghan peoples.
I deployed with the 173rd to the Paktika and Wardak provinces in 2008, and 2009-2010. While in Paktika, we had a couple of interpreters that helped us out on missions, and Afghan militia trained by SOF named Afghan Special Guard (ASG) that watched our backs. I spent a lot of time being heavily hazed on my first tour cause I was new, but at night the Afghans with us invited me to eat with them and talk about our views on life. It was during these talks that I realized how wrong I had been in judging these people before I got into country and felt ashamed. They were kind, and they helped us make it back home to our families. I will never forget them and I am grateful for organizations like yours that are getting our allies out of Kabul during this humanitarian crisis. Thank you!
When I donate to No One Left Behind, I don't feel like I'm just pouring money into a hole. I know that I am making a lasting difference for families who just need a little help at a crucial point. As a Veteran, I want to say to anyone who has ever said, "Thank you for your service," that this is one of the best ways you can say thank you, by showing you care about the people we care about, that you share our values, that we have a moral obligation not to leave our allies behind.
Thank you for what you're doing to bring attention to our Afghan interpreters and their families. I've making phone calls and sending emails since early last week trying to save the lives of my interpreter, his wife, and his children. I must do everything I can to save a man who risked his life to serve with me and who kept me out of trouble during my deployment. Those of us who served in Afghanistan know how much we owe these men. They have done far more for our country than most Americans will ever do. I deployed to Afghanistan in 2019. Our interpreters lived and worked with us every day. They treated us like family and became close friends. They risked their lives to help us and we promised to keep them safe. We literally could not have done any work if it wasn’t for them.
This week I watched with dismay anger and frustration as Afghanistan was over run by terrorists and we were stuck with a humanitarian crisis anyone with two eyes and a brain should have seen coming the whole summer.
I reached out to No One Left Behind on behalf of my friends stuck in Kabul and they emailed me right back and I was able to forward on some documents. I hope it helped. I hope our friends will be here soon.
They served our country and theirs selflessly and at great risk to themselves. They will be great Americans. We just need to keep our promise.
Thank you no one left behind for everything you’ve been doing and will continue to do. It’s good to see when leaders are no where to be found there are still people helping and ready to sort out the mess. You are all good people.

I’ve been in the Navy for the past 10 years, serving as a helicopter pilot, I never made it to Afghanistan. What I’m seeing on the news is heartbreaking to watch, and I feel deeply ashamed that we would even consider the possibility of leaving behind those who have worked alongside our military these past 20 years. One of the few rescue charities of which I am aware that works directly with the Afghan Interpreters and their families. They fill vital gaps in rescue efforts. I highly recommend them
I have donated to your worthy organization in part due to being sick and tired of the way that Veterans are treated. No Vet should have to go through a slow-motion process of watching the people that supported them in combat being abandoned. This is just another way of abandoning the Veteran!
We are setting a precedent for our NATO allies and geopolitical partners by failing to help our Afghan allies and friends. When we ask our friends and allies to join us in future they will not give us the support that they gave us in the past Let us not disgrace ourselves. I worked in Iraq with Christian Peacemaker Teams in 2005. The group's Iraqi translator, Sattar Hatam, was an excellent translator and guide. Sattar had extreme difficulty in moving to the United States, since he was in danger if he stayed in Iraq. Unfortunately, before he could make the move, he died of a heart attack. I have always regretted not being able to get Sattar out of Baghdad.

I made it to the US with my SIV.No one left behind really helped me out and gave me a handful hand when I was suffering during this COVID-19 thing. They also offered me some delivery jobs. I am truly appreciated. God bless them for what they do.
I have arrived in the United States in March 2020 on SIV Visa. It was right before the Pandemic puts everything into a complete stop. Although I was fully authorized to work but the COVID-19 has badly impacted my employment. I received an email from No One Left Behind (NOLB) and after studying it thoroughly, I have submitted an application for non-interest loan. Everything was so easy and I was given all the support to complete the application process. Fortunately, a loan was approved which will help me with my plan to quickly start a job. I will also encourage others to reach out to NOLB just in case they need immediate assistance.

When i was working on the Afghanistan Kandahar Airport I was on the way to go to home the Taliban was attacked me and i was injured that happened on 2013.

I am Uber driver, because of vivid-19 I haven’t made any money. There is no rides or fairs all over the Bay Area. I really appreciate NOLB for there help in this critical saturation.
I was struggling by biking to work 14 miles roundtrip and spending too much money on Uber that didn't leave me a lot left with paying rent. No One Left Behind sent me a check for a car grant. I have my own car now and it literally saved my life! I can use the money I spent on Uber for groceries and rent. I would've struggled more and more and probably have lost my job if NOLB didn't help me with the car. I truly appreciate everything they have done to me and got me so far.
I was told that there is a check sent to me because of the unemployment from Uber but after almost two months I haven't received nothing

No One Left Behind Inc (NOLB) was one of the very few sources of assistance to provide any support to Hamed and his family after their arrival in the USA. Hamed worked diligently at a hospital on Bagram Airbase in Afghanistan alongside US and Korean medical professionals. However, it took years of ardous struggle during which time he and his family were in very real danger as a result of his employment on the US base for Hamed to eventually obtain a visa to the US. Hamed had few friends and very little support until NOLB came into the picture some time after Hamed arrived in the US with his family. The support NOLB was tangible and very much appreciated! Thanks again!

during my tenure as an interpreter/translator with U.S. Armed forces, I participated in numerous missions and operations in support of operation Enduring Freedom-Afghanistan for which i recieved a total of 14 certificates of appreciation and letters of recommendation stating my honesty, loyalty, integrity and selfless service to American cause in Afghanistan from you guys.
in March 2016 i went to join back army they told me that you need to re test i said sure i am ready i got pass LLC test they said we need to retest you in CI either i said good i am ready i gave test there also
after Three months i was scheduled for my routine yearly CI Screening in Bagram Airfield Badging office
after a wait of 3 months, i was informed by an EMP representative that i had failed my CI Screening and was no longer eligible to work for US/ coalition forces. I could not believe my ears what i had heard that day.
i believe that i am definitely able to pass any rigorous CI screening test conducted by U.S Amred forces that was why i went volantrly for joining my perviouse job.
Now they said only your last supervisor should explain us what was your perviouse background with them .
I talked with my supervisor and he directly sent appealled for me unfortunately my case denied and still I am jobless I can't join my work I lost my way.
now I, hereby, would like to request you to grant me one final opportunity for Re- CI screening from them anywhere in? U.S FOBs in Afghanistan to prove myself that i am able to pass any security test and i am nothing but a worthwhile member to U.S Military creed and an asset to US/ coalition Forces.

I am a former translator of the US army in Afghanistan Kunduz City, cause of my job as as a translator my family are in a danger situation in Kunduz. Me and my family we can’t go to out side the home. Even my children they can’t go to on the street to play wit other children, the people in our neighborhood the call us (spy) Spy of Americans. They says to our kids, hey your father is Spy he helped the infidels to fight against the Mojahidin. Our children comes at home and cry about the situation what happened with them. Even the children of our neighbors they threw the stones toward our doors calling loudly Spy Spy come out. That is a life of translators .

This nonprofit organization is not just for people who left behind, they helped many people like me in USA in many ways. Most important is financially. I know when we go to new country it’s really hard to take care of our financial but it’s life, things happen. But this organization never left me behind. The help me. No One Left Behind Inc, agency really helped and assisted the Afghan interpreters, who were contending to support the U.S.A military in Afghanistan. These were the actual heroes that were grappling with insurgents in the Afghanistan instead of their job/interpretation. While on the contrary, we are also very thankful of the United States especially our supervisors for supporting us back and provide us an opportunity to reside safely here in the United States. Again personally I appreciated the NOLBI a lot for the impeccable services, and is the one is still coping to reveal the world about the struggling of the interpreters of Afghanistan. I first became involved with No One Left Behind the summer of 2017. I was introduced to James Miervaldis and Janis Shinwari as a fellow for the Georgetown Day School Policy Institute and have continued working with the organization because of the moral obligation I feel toward helping their mission. I have accompanied James to Speaker Paul Ryan's office to lobby on behalf of SIVs and Janis has addressed my high school to share his story, as pictured above. Spreading awareness about this issue is what No One Left Behind does best and it is an honor to have been included in their efforts as a student.
Many translators have saved American lives in the process and put their lives at greater risk in an effort to help America. The U.S. has a moral obligation to assist these wartime allies and show the world that America does not give empty promises. It is our duty, as Americans, to take care of these translators and treat them like the war heroes they are. No One Left Behind's mission and values represent the warrior ethos mentality and their drive to help the people that helped America deserves the highest recognition and support.
I am an SIV living in Dallas. I had to write a legal petition for a governmental organization. Consequently, I consulted a couple of attorneys. They asked me a substantial amount of money as fee which was hard for me to pay. I reached Najeeb Aminyar of NOLB and asked for help. He wrote the petition for me. Today I received the good news that the petition worked with my desired outcome. NOLB is a great source of help and support to the SIV community here in Dallas!

St. George's United Methodist Church in Fairfax, VA is involved in many outreach programs to support the community. In recent years we have been pleasantly surprised by the degree to which St. George’s has embraced the NOLB cause. Over the years more than 20% of our congregational members have donated furniture, clothing and household goods for new arrivals, some multiple times. Additionally, two members have donated automobiles and several have made generous financial donations to the cause. Our United Methodist Women's group prepared welcome baskets for newly arriving Afghan families, and Afghan interpreters have given presentations to both our Men’s and Women’s groups and even addressed the congregation at large during the United Methodist Men's Sunday Worship Service in 2019.
We have experienced nothing but gratitude by those we have assisted and St. George's United Methodist Church is pleased to continue to be in support of NOLB in the future.
NOLB supports new comers in so many ways. I have been witness of their great work when helping others providing them the essential stuffs when a new comers need the most. Janis Shenwari is so humble and kind hearted. I’m so inspired by this team and even I will spare some time to volunteer if need be.
NOLB helped me bring my translator here after a 3 year wait. They greeted him at the airport and furnished his apartment at no cost. They treated him like the hero he is!
I was one of the SIV refugees and nobody helped me get resettlement in NOVA except NOLB. As soon as I got a contact information and informed them of my situation, they run to me and leased a two bedroom apartment in Alexandria for me and my family.
They provided us with all home essentials and paid three months apartment rent. The next day they provided us food for 15 days.
They also assisted me in finding job and introduced me to required training.
I am very pleased with all NOLB did to me and my family and I am deeply thankful of them in my entire life.

I would like to say if No One Left Behind didn't take my hand, Me and my wife and my two kids would be homeless in the cold whether of JAN/2017. I served as an interpreter alongside US military in Afghanistan for 5 years. I am very thankful to No One Left Behind who helped me to start a new life in USA.
I Came through Special immigrant Visa to USA in March 2016, when I landed at the airport in Virginia I realized that there is no one to help me. for a while I completely felt homeless and hopeless. I called my friend who lives in California and asked him if he has a friend or member of family to help me, but he gave me a contact number of No One Left Behind. The number was Janis's number. I called him and explain my situation. he picked me up, took me to his friend house . no one left behind furnished my house with all households I needed even more. No One left behind helped my find job. now I am in a better stage of life. Thanks to NO ONE LEFT BEHIND.
When I first arrived in the United States, everything came to me was from complete strangers. Toys for my kids, mattresses, blankets, dishes, even money to pay for my rent was from complete strangers. That is how my life started here and that was the birth of No One Left Behind. This organization does not get any funds from the government. Everything comes from strangers. When we were in Afghanistan, we interpreters were a bridge between the US government and the Afghan government, the US civilians and Afghan civilians, but over here, this organization works as a bridge between the interpreters’ families and you. We can’t do anything without your support. We need to keep our promise.
With the help of No One Left Behind our dream come true, they helped me with every step of my application process, the great team of NOLB was the first people welcomed me and my family on our first day in U.S.A. Beside shortage of fund, I personally witness the significant support it provides for our brothers and sisters coming from Iraq and Afghanistan in their new country as well as those who are waiting for their dreams to come true. The management team of this incredible organization always stands on its mission to not leave anyone behind, by ensuring to convince the U.S.Government and the congress to approve more visas every year until the last person get what they deserve. As a former client who served by this great organization, I am very proud to get the opportunity to voluntarily helping our SIV community in DMV areas. No One Left Behind is unlike any nonprofit I have ever worked with. I first got involved with NOLB during my freshman year of high school when I spent the summer at my school's Policy Institute where I studied refugee issues. For my capstone project, I interviewed founder Janis Shinwari and was delighted to hear about what amazing work NOLB had done for him and his family. He told us that he was very disappointed by the lack of assistance given to translators who move to the US after they work tirelessly for the United States overseas. He left behind many other translators whose promises made my the US Government were broken. When he arrived in the US, he was not treated like a veteran the way he deserved to be. He did not recieve benefits from the VA and No One Left Behind and specifically, James Miervaldis, did amazing work to help Janis and his family get back on their feet. They have given me countless oppurtunities since then and have been a great support in all of my activism. I was lucky enough to meet Ambassador Ryan Crocker and General David Petraeus at a recent event on Capitol Hill. They obviously have great support from both sides of the aisle in Congress. My sister and I joined James and Janis in their work lobbying the office of former Speaker Paul Ryan and witnessed their bipartisan advocacy first hand. Their work has taken many different forms and I am excited to see how they continue their important work in the future.
