The "No Horse Left Behind" rescue is amazing. The Rescue is located within the 100 acre confines of Amelia Acres farm in Goshen, NY. The owner, her family and staff all live on-site, so the horses are observed and cared for 24/7. They receive quality feed and hay, and whatever medicines or special care/treatment they need to recover, out of her own pocket if/when any donations aren't sufficient to cover the horses' needs. There are multiple barns and huge fields for turn out, where the horses are happy to be with their herds --they get to relax and just be horses. I've witnessed many horses recover emotionally, behaviorally and health-wise, through excellent care and/or retraining. The horses are safe here and never have to worry about starvation, neglect or abuse. It's a beautiful, scenic sanctuary for them.

A wonderful place where the horses get A+ care and attention. Beautiful big pastures where horses find friends and just get to be horses...healing from injuries or the emotional scars from starvation, abuse, abandonment. Many come after show careers have ended, or where injuries rendered them "useless"...every horse has a story and the owner knows each horse individually and his/her story. No horse is considered "useless" at the Rescue...every one of their lives has a purpose....even if it's just to laze away their days among friends and enjoy themselves. The owner is on-site and personally patrols the property every day...with "bed checks" at night, to make sure every horse has what it needs. Some require medications or other special treatment --paid out of her own pocket, so donations are MUCH appreciated. The horses are wonderful! Happy, fat and friendly. The No Horse Left Behind Rescue is a great place!

The horses are beautiful and well cared for with large pastures . After show careers or just bad situations, they have a home that is safe and filled with loving care givers and lots of friends that they share their lives with.
