Nonprofit Overview
Mission: No Defense To Self Defense’s mission is to keep our communities safe by creating awareness on safety and teaching individuals how to spot, avoid, prevent, and use their strength to fight their way out of violent situations such as physical and sexual abuse, sexual assault, child abuse, sexual human trafficking, teen dating violence, domestic violence, abduction, robbery, and bullying.
Results: For the past 4 years we have traveled throughout Michigan, working with DHHS teaching foster teens, sororities, women's shelters, teen centers, girls scouts, individuals, women's group's and other organizations on safety and self defense. We have recently changed to nonprofit status to help us continue our mission of offering low to no cost education and training.
Target demographics: Our mission is to educate and train all women and children throughout the state of Michigan
Direct beneficiaries per year: 8 local agencies and over 500 individuals.
Geographic areas served: We are based out of Ionia Michigan but travel through out the entire state of Michigan
Programs: We educate on safety, how to spot, prevent, avoid abuse, sex trafficking, domestic violence, assault and train on basic self defense techniques to fight out of a violent situation by using the Jane-Jitsu Women Empowerment Program
