Mission: Nihonmachi little friends (nlf) is a japanese bilingual multicultural & educational childcare organization.
Programs: Bush preschool: nlf was at full enrollment during this fiscal year, with stable staffing. Successfully completed the preschool for all program grant. Special fieldtrips and classroom enrichment programs were provided for all children's programs. Parent participation continues at a high level, involving everyone in the various school and community events, as well as fundraising activities. Program fundraising goals were met. The construction for its preschool building addition was completed by the end of the fiscal year, and the program relocated to its new building at 1830 sutter street, vacating its leased site at 2031 bush street.

after school program: program was at full enrollment during the school year. Classroom enrichment programs were provided for all k-5th graders. Partnered with george washington high school's japanese honor society in which their members volunteered at nlf's after school program and assisted with homework and japanese lessons. Parent participation continued to be successful with fundraising goals met.
