Causes: Education, Literacy, Remedial Reading & Encouragement
Mission: To provide at-risk youth in tampa bay with a safe place to be a kid
Programs: The concept of the nfl youth education town (yet) center was born out of the desire of the national football league to leave a lasting legacy to communities hosting a super bowl, and was founded on the philosophy that by coupling education with recreation, disadvantaged children can overcome the obstacles to success. Nfl yet tampa bay is a collaborative effort of yet, hillsborough county and the city of tampa bay. Yet provides at-risk youth in tampa bay with a safe place to be a kid! Children participate in various sports, educational, social, cultural and health oriented programs designed to enhance their development and provide them with hope and opportunity for the future.
