Mission: The mission of nextgen climate america ("america") is to establish policies to prevent climate disaster and enable american prosperity. The organization educates the public on issues affecting the environment.
Programs: Climate leadership & clean power planboth in california and across the nation, nextgen climate america took a leadership role in promoting policy to stop and reverse climate change. America continued its efforts to promote the clean power plan and its implementation and commissioned studies to assess the impact of federal coal leasing programs and new offshore oil drilling. Within the state of california, america worked with policy makers, stakeholders, the media, and community groups to increase awareness of climate change and to promote sustainable policies.
