The Newburyport Preservation Trust works very hard to bring together all aspects of the community-residents, builders and local government-for the purpose of preserving the architectural, and spiritual, heritage of this place. The city is fortunate to have an amazing colonial and federalist heritage that has come down to us through the centuries. As an area of growth and changing economic demography, some of that heritage has been lost or is currently under siege.
