Programs: The ny hota sport cub, inc. , since its inception in 1964 is an organization of people devoted to and participating in amateur soccer and amateur tennis. They organizee the club to participate in local, state, regional and national
competition in these two sports, by organizing teams and instructing them in the necessary athletic skills as well as the qualities of good sportsmanship. The club provides some soccer balls and tennis balls, but members provide
all other equipment, including uniforms. The club maintains the tennis courts it uses, on the grounds of the plattdeutsch altenheim gesellschaft von brooklyn und umgegang, inc. An irc section 501 c3 exempt senior citizen home
for the soccer games/practices, the club uses fields on the grounds of the same senior citizen home, and it maintains those fields as necessary and appropriate. Through the clubs tennis and soccer divisions, the members are
divided into teams based upon age and ability. Teams are coached by volunteer coaches who must have at least 10 years of experience in the sport. In addition, the club has its own internal disciplinary procedures for members who
do not abide by the rules, including rules of good sportsmanship. The teamsplay against teams of comparable age and ability on other local, state, regional and national competitions. An award dinner dance with trophies is held
for the members and their guests each year, arranged by the volunteer club officers and coaches. Each year the club also sponsors a childrens christmas party and a picnic for members, organized by the coaches and the club
officers, all volunteers.
