Mission: The New York Council of Nonprofits (NYCON) works together with our members, other nonprofits, communities, funders and stakeholders to build the capacity of nonprofits and communities to enhance the quality of life through responsive, cost-effective service and by forming a long-term, multi-layered service relationship with our member nonprofits.

Geographic areas served: New York State (both NYC metro and upstate)
Programs: Technical assistance and consulting, legal assistance, strategic and community planning, HR support, financial management training, marketing and branding, fund development support, and more. Through NYCON's family of subsidiary organizations, we also assist nonprofits with accessing affordable insurance and employee benefits; building stronger boards through education, facilitation and personalized matching services; and helping emerging nonprofits access fiscal sponsorship. NYCON is also a strong voice to unite New York nonprofits on issues of policy and advocacy, both statewide and nationally. NYCON is a proud member of the National Council of Nonprofits.
We paid NYCON to revise our organization's by laws to reflect changes required by changes in the Not for Profit Law. NYCON appeared to use a broiler plate which included much which was not included or required by Not for Profit Law and was not specific to our organization.
