Programs: Support approximately 25 international students in their pursuit of secondary school education in the united states. Students must meet academic and english language proficiencies before being accepted into the program. Eligible students are matched with a local high school and submitted as international applicants into the sevis (student and exchange visitor program) operated by the department of homeland security (dhs). Prior to attending school in the u. S. , students must first interview and be granted an f1 student visa, allowing entry into the u. S. For the duration of their studies. Once in the u. S. , students are placed with local host families and supported by new world academic and cultural exchange (nwace) for the duration of their stay in the u. S. Nwace pays for student school tuition/fees, health insurance, and some student activities from revenue. School tuition/fee expense paid to the non-profit and private schools represents 86% of total expenses paid by nwace.
