Causes: Centers to Support the Independence of Specific Populations, Human Services
Mission: To deliver medical expertise and treatment to the under-priviledged population of foreign countries by providing services, treatment and supplies, and to do so with dignity and self esteem to program recipients and participants.
Programs: During 2017 two mission trips were completed. The locations were leon and matagalpa, nicaragua during these missions 74 volunteer doctors, nurses,pharmacist,physical therapist, nurse anesthest, and lay volunteers performed the following free services to the poor:one hundred and seventeen surgeries, and one hundred and fifty consults. The eye clinic in leon and matagalpa served a total of four-thousand five hundred patients. Medical education lectures were provided to local physicians on leon.
the organization operates a warehouse facility in harahan, louisiana which is used to store surgical equipment as well as accumulate, organize and package for shipment those supplies and equipment donated to overseas beneficiaries.
