NJHN is a very important part of the humanist community in the state of New Jersey. They have brought together many humanist groups from different counties in an effort to support Humanism and it's cause. I have been a member for only a short period of time. In that time, I have witnessed the passion and dedication NJHN has shown towards their affiliate groups and members. They are very supportive, generous and always willing to help out those who are struggling to find a place to meetup with like-minded individuals who share the same perspectives on life.
They are an inspiration to me and have helped me out tremendously when I first started my Humanist group. Any Humanist / Atheist in the State of New Jersey will tell you that we are lucky to have the NJHN. Their group is the epitome of "a Humanist community". I owe so much to them. They are my Humanist muse. Thank you.

I got involved with NJHN several years ago through the Facebook page and then by attending group Meet-ups. I was delighted to find such a welcoming and fun group of freethinkers, many of whom have become my very good friends. Since I joined, I have had a chance to witness and participate in many of the fine programs, activities, and charitable ventures that have been central to the mission of NJHN. Besides our monthly meetings, which include presentations from various secular leaders and authors, we maintain a schedule of regular social events that help to create a welcoming environment for non-religious people. NJHN charitable programs have provided much needed financial assistance for Humanist chaplaincy programs, secular humanitarian causes, women's rights and LGBT rights causes. Through the NJHN I feel that I am making a positive contribution to the welfare of our community and I am proud to be a member and serve on the board of directors.
I first met members of the New Jersey Humanist Network at the Godless Americans March on Washington DC in 2002. I've been involved ever since. NJHN has a strong presence in NJ and has helped me launch a satellite group in my own area. I have made friends, learned more about ethics and philosophy, had great conversations, enjoyed amazing events, celebrated the winter holiday of HumanLight, and more, all thanks to NJHN! I am proud to be a member and a volunteer on the NJHN Board. I look forward to seeing us grow and unite more Humanists throughout the Garden State.
