Mission: The organization was formed exclusively for the advancement of dance education and for such other charitable purposes, particularly for the support of dance education in the arts. The nj civic youth ballet offers young talented dancers who are residents of nj an opportunity to perform classical and contemporary ballets in a pre-professional company. The company is not affilliated with any one educational program, & presently includes dancers from morris, sussex, & warren counties. Our mission is to maintain a reputation of high artistic quality in dance & continue to create art performed by youth for the general public.
Programs: The nj civic youth ballet organizes an annual performance of the nutcracker which represents the largest and most important aspect of the company. A ballet that is 95% performed by children. The nj civic youth ballet also provides arts education to the community through high quality, affordable, interactive public performances and offered master classes for dancers in the community. The program consists of several performances at warren county schools. The audience exceeded 1,000 attendees.
