Mission: Njasc is dedicated to helping middle and high school student councils be more active and engaged in their schools and communities.

Programs: Njasc leadership training conference - the ltc brings together over three hundred students from througout nj. In four days and three nights, student leaders discover, develope and demonstrate their leadership potential in a supportive and unique environment that prepares them for the challenges ahead.

winter convention - since 1927, each january the student council leaders of new jersey and their advisors convene to elect their state officers. Our annual winter convention provides nationally recognized motivational speakers, networking and a means for sharing ideas with school throughout nj, breakout sessions showcasing exemplary student council projects, and opportunities for advisors and other teaching professionals to receive professional development hours. Spring awards program - at this meeting, over four thousand students and advisors from throughout the state come together to recognize student councils for their community service, donations to the state charity and exceptional student leadership. Nasc national conference - the njasc state officers lead the nj delegation of students and advisors to this annual national event. At the nasc national conference delegates and advisors meet, network and share ideas with fellow leaders from accross the united states and canada. Fall business meeting - over one thousand student leaders and their advisors convene to shape the business of the njasc for the coming year. The fall business meeting provides nationally recognized motivational speakers, networking and a means for sharing ideas with schools throughout nj. Students seeking to run for state office and student councils participating in "standards of excellence" - an invaluable council idea exchange and evaluation program - are required to attend special sessions conducted at this njasc meeting.

state charity program - each year, student leaders at our member schools raise thousands of dollars for a special state charity that is chosen by their state officers each april.
