You never pick up, i am sick of it.3 times and nobody showed up. STOP wasting people time if you are not going to do anything. I hope you go out of business. You help NOBODY WITH YOUR ORGANIZATION…..someone needs to get fired.

DO NOT waste your time donating to this organization. There are many other non-profit organizations to donate to. I have tried 3 times to leave bags of clothes out and they do NOT pick it up. I've called when they do not pick it up, someone tells me another Saturday to leave the items out and they have failed to come 3 times. It is so disturbing, when you take the time to help an organization with donations and they do not follow through. What is the point of soliciting and putting the flyers on our doorstep if you are going to pick them up! Such a waste of time!

I am a prolific donor, but have never given to this organization. I thought, what the heck. Saves me a trip if they’re coming to pick it up. But before I do, I researched which is their religious affiliation. Not that it matters which, but curious. My research revealed nothing but vague, cliche-ish stuff. My thoughts were immediately, Is this legit? A website says they’re a 501c3. They also barely hint Christian. But heck, that could also describe Scientology, which, IMO, is just a business claiming to be a religion and nobody believes that. Sorry, there’s going to be some dapper folks at the clearly defined, established charities, not NHFTL.

I left out 12 bags of clothing, linens, and miscellaneous items including 3 fans and 1 heater the night before the scheduled pickup on solicitation notice. The next morning unknown persons took 3 bags and 2 fans and strew contents from other bags. The notice was taped to one of the bags stolen and I am unable to locate a telephone number for this nonprofit. Obviously, they did not pick up the donations left for them. Seeing the other reviewers had the same experience, I would definitely not recommend donating anything to New Hope for Troubled Lives.

Received solicitation for donations on Friday. Took time and had the stack ready Monday by 8:00 a.m. Arrived home from work, stack still there, called number, left information they requested. Left stack and tag out. Arrived home from work Tuesday, called again. Arrived home from work Wednesday, called again. I have NEVER received a return call. Also, each night more items are missing from my stack. I am now down to about 1/8 of what I put out. I wasn't the only neighbor who put a stack out Monday, and they ALL had the same experience of no pick up and items missing. Now we have less items to go to a GOOD and RESPONSIBLE charity.

When a house has a sign clearly posted no trespassing, no soliciting, that means don't leave unsolicited flyers behind. It does not speak well of a group, even a quality non profit, when proper respect is not given to homeowners
