I have been volunteering at this Non-Profit for just over three (3) years I think. This seems to be a very caring and concerned company. Concerned that each of its partners out there get the info they need and the correct lessons. I enjoy being a part of this on going process.
I like to see my partners try and understand what the Bible offers them. Some keep going with it. Doing there lessons. Improving. Understanding that the Lord and His son Jesus are there for them as they are for all who believe. Some might have a hard time and that is sometimes where I can help them learn more. Communication is an awesome tool.
I am glad to serve & give to inmates seeking change & spiritual growth through New Creation Ministries. I have been involved & donating for 6 years. This ministry is all about helping the forgotten & incarcerated change & received hope through the Bible. I love what they are doing and the lives they are impacting.
I have been part of this ministry for two or three years now and have seen some of the needs of the people in prison. The Bible studies that go to the prisoners are very good and help to develop a habit of prayer and Bible study. Although, we may never know the impact this has on their lives, many prisoners ask for these Bible studies to be sent to their friends or family members. We know God’s Word changes hearts and New Creations Prison Ministry making a difference in many lives.
I've been a part of this organization for over twenty years partners with some very dedicated people who have love for those who often have no one. Our Bridge Builders class is one and one half hours per week for twenty six weeks. We truly get to know our students while we help them build a bridge to God through Jesus Christ who is the power over life controlling problems. We also meet with men and women coming into the prison system at prisons known as reception centers , men in Jackson, women near Ypsilanti. This is where a a person begins serving their time, 30 to 60 days before before moving to a different prison. This gives us an opportunity to present Jesus to hundreds of people coming into prison, some for the first time, other's for whom it is not a new story. I'm blessed to be apart of this work. The Holy Spirit does the work, I just have to show up.
New creations prison ministry has a Bible study course for the inmates and volunteers from NCPM. Over the years thousands of lessons have gone through NCPM and the volunteers. Through these studies people have become friends, shared stories, tears, seen inmates grow in their knowledge of Christ and their lives changed.
I've seen people go from despair to hope; share their lives; and many keep thanking us for taking time (some for just a few years to as long as 9 years) to correct their lessons and writing to them. NCPM gives the inmates a feeling that not everyone has given up on them.
