New Beginnings for Animals is a wonderful and caring organization. They take to heart the commitment needed to help provide loving new homes to many unfortunate animals that would otherwise suffer a horrible fate.
I have been leery in the past about donating to charities because I didn't know where the money was really going. In addition to being a donor to New Beginnings for Animals, I am a volunteer and I can tell you first-hand that this rescue group is top notch and the money is for the animals. The Board of Directors and the other Volunteers for New Beginnings are some of the least selfish and most caring people I have ever met. They spend money to have surgeries done, have their teeth cleaned, rehabilitate them with training if there are behavioral issues and spend countless hours of their 'free' time to make sure the animals are taken care of. They also take in animals deemed "unadoptable" by Animal Shelters and find them good homes. A+++++++++
New beginnings takes wonderful care of their rescue animals and go above and beyond to be sure their rescues are placed in great homes. I loved volunteering for them and would do it all over again in a heartbeat. Their animals get the best health care, personal care, and screenings for homes that I would expect from any rescue.
Hi, What a wonderful rescue New Beginnings for Animals is !!! I personally worked with Lori when adopting Skippy . Our rescue dog Molly ( we had for 12 years) had passed away :( . The whole family was devastated and we wanted to find a nice match to add to the family . We have always adopted but this time around we were more nervous . We now had two children and our last rescue Molly was here before the kids so they grew up together :). I was hoping to find what mommy wanted in a dog but with all the qualities that would fit in with a family with kids . I always dreamed of adopting a small dog that doesnt shed ie. poodle , bichon etc .I found Skippy's ad on petfinder . I contacted Lori and we spoke for 40 minutes about our situation, what we were looking for and whether she thought Skippy might be a good match . I appreciated her honesty and her willingness to give the adoption a try with the idea that the kids safety and the dog's happiness being an important factor . We filled out the forms and set up a chance to meet Skippy at the foster mom's house. Skippy was adorable and well taken care of . I loved that the foster only takes one dog at a time if possible so they can really get to know the dog and tell you way more than a shelter could . Lori came over to meet us in personat the foster's house and to see how the dog and the kids interacted that day . After that we arranged to bring Skippy to our place to see how he did there. Skippy stayed that day with the idea that Lori and I would speak in a week and see if we thought this was indeed a match . She was so nice and the "trial period " made me feel more comfortable . I am in LOVE with Skippy .He is everything I wanted ,he is nice with company, can play with the kids but can chill out on the couch .He is home with me all day for company and sleeps in my bed at night . He is gentle and friendly and we really lucked out :) but I am sure that a lot of our "luck" had to do with Lori and the whole rescue going to shelters and choosing such wonderful dogs /cats.They seem to have such great instincts . They are so nice to work with that it made taking in a new dog for the first time in years , so easy . I am very grateful to everyone at New Beginnings for Animals for saving Skippy .I cannot stand the thought that Skippy might have been euthanized at the shelter and we would never had this chance to spend our lives with him . This is a wonderful ,trustworthy rescue and I would not hesistate to recommend this great group of people .,I am indebted to them for saving Skippy and giving us the chance to love him :)
