Mission: The New Annapolitans is a social club formed to welcome new residents to the Annapolis area and to help them assimilate into the social, cultural and civic activities of the Greater Annapolis community. The club currently has 27 interest groups which offer a wide variety of activities. Membership is open to residents in the Greater Annapolis area who have moved to this area within two years of applying for membership. Meetings are held the first Wednesday of each month at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Annapolis, 333 Dubois Road, Annapolis, MD 21401. Prospective members are invited to check in with the VP-Membership at 9:15 a.m. Social time begins at 9:30 a.m., followed by the meeting at 10:00 a.m. Those interested in joining can do so at the meeting or by submitting a new member application available on our web site. Programs: A special luncheon is held for all members yearly. The cost is subsidized by membership fees.
community outreach is a program available to members. Activities occur to bring in revenue and then grants are given to worthy community groups. Community outreach receives recommendations from members familiar with need in the community as well as receiving requests from charitable organizations for donations. The recipient organizations keep in touch with community outreach with literature from their group.
